So unbelievably excited – not to mention blessed, humbled, honored, and privileged! I’ve been writing on and off since I was a little girl. But for decades, I wrote for myself, the world, and the devil. Then the Lord led me to repentance and led me to surrender my writing life to Him. After all, the Lord died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead so all who turn from their sins and believe in Him as Lord, truly devoting their lives to Him, are forgiven and given a forever relationship with Him. We are thereby His! We belong to Jesus! Our hearts and lives are HIS! This includes the gifts He has given us – like my writing!
Some years ago, a friend’s husband seemed to think God was calling me to write devotionals. He had read some of my writing and truly believed this. I sure didn’t! I was so prideful! I thought devotional writing wasn’t important enough. Significant enough! Not as good as book writing! And that why write devotionals, how could it be God’s will, if I couldn’t find the word “devotional” in the Bible? God humbled me! And now here I am, writing devotionals almost daily and absolutely loving, loving, loving, the wonderful privilege of loving and glorifying God in my writing and watching how the Lord uses it to encourage others to find and forever faithfully follow Jesus. Day by day, yes, and forevermore!
These days, as the Lord leads me, I write Daily Inspiration, am writing a devotional book that I’m publishing online as I write called 365 BLESSINGS, publish three pocket-sized devotional magazines you can learn about HERE that mostly includes my Daily Inspiration writing, and write pocket-sized themed devotionals as part of my Gospel Tract series.
Yes, I have come to love writing devotionals – all for the glory of God!
