I Am Glowing

I am glowing. I have not won the lottery. I have not fallen in love with a man. I have not gone on vacation. I have not gotten a new job. I have not gotten the miracle I have desired for years. I am not getting married again. I have not gotten a phone call or an e-mail or a letter full of praise from someone I love and respect. And yet I am glowing. I am glowing because I have just spent time in my Father’s presence. And in the light of His presence, in the heights and depths of His love for me, in the hearing of the words He has spoken to me, in the peace He has given me that surpasses all circumstances, I am alight with a heart full of rest and thanksgiving.
