“I can’t handle this!” I exclaimed aloud. Overwhelmed. Again. As I so often am. Call it what you will. Goes with my lifestyle of extremes. On the road for Jesus full-time with handicapped ministry doggies & writing and publishing tracts, devotionals, and books and doing video devotionals. No staff. No salary. Sold out to Jesus. Don’t sleep well. Mind never stops. What can I say? So there I was again. “I can’t handle this!”
Immediately the Lord stopped me in my tracks. Of course I can! And so can you! When we’re in the will of the Lord, believing in Him, following Him, living for Him, He will give us everything we need to go forth. And when we take on more than He gives us, He will help us to let it go so we’re walking in His will. Walking in His ways. All for the glory of Christ.
Feel like you can’t handle something? Seek the Lord! Seek His love and strength and wisdom! Does He want you to let it go? If yes, let it go. Does He want you to keep doing whatever it is? Then He’ll give you the strength. Come to the rock! Come to the rock of Christ! And carry on as He leads you forth! For the glory of Christ, YES!
“Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 61:1-2
