If you think it’s nothing more than a duty to serve the Lord, little more than an obligation, nothing greater than something you need to put on your To-Do list and get done with as quickly as possible, something that is simply a I-Should-Do-This or Ugh-I-Have-To-Do-This, oh, friend, you are missing something I have so blessedly discovered. It is an HONOR, a BLESSING, and a PRIVILEGE to LOVE and SERVE the Lord with ALL our hearts! I encourage you to ask yourself these questions:
– Do I love the Lord with ALL my heart?
– Am I serving the Lord on an ongoing basis?
– Am I serving the Lord with gladness, joy, thanksgiving, excitement, anticipation, passion, and a sense of purpose?
– Do I realize it’s a PRIVILEGE to love & serve the Lord with all my heart now and forever?
If your answer is not YES to all three of these questions, I implore you to cry out to the Lord with ALL your heart for Him to help you to learn to love and serve Him with every ounce of your heart now and forevermore, oh yes! And please don’t stop with prayer. Please continue on with ACTION. And please don’t stop with ACTION. Please press on with the right heart. With the right attitude. With LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for the Lord and through Him for others – and with thankfulness for the PRIVILEGE of loving and serving God each and every day and forevermore! Amen!
Serving the Lord begins with loving the Lord. Loving the Lord begins with the Lord loving you and your entering into a forever relationship with the Lord. A forever relationship with the Lord begins with turning from your sins, believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, devoting your life to God and His ways, and having His Holy Spirit come to live inside you! This is just the beginning. We are to go forth LOVING & SERVING God with every ounce of our hearts, oh hallelujah, praise the Lord, AMEN!
