You may feel like nobody in the world sees your pain and suffering, or that people see your suffering but just don’t understand the heights and depths of it, or that people see it and know how unfathomably bad you are hurting but are not helping and comforting you and being there for you the way you feel they should.
The truth is people may not see your pain and suffering. The truth is people may see your suffering but just not understand the heights and depths of it. The truth is people may see your suffering and know how unfathomably bad you are hurting but not help and comfort and be there for you the way you feel and think they should.
If any or all of this is the case, I encourage you to do vital things.
- LOVE AND FORGIVE THEM!
- CHANGE YOUR FOCUS AND WHERE YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR TRUST, HOPE, and EXPECTATION!
Let me be clear. God blesses us with fellow humans to love, encourage, pray for, help, comfort, and support us and be there for us, and we absolutely should reach out to others for this as He leads us and to give this to others as He leads us!
But first and foremost above all else we should FOCUS ON AND LOOK TO AND PUT OUR TRUST, HOPE, AND EXPECTATION in THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
Through a close and personal intimate forever relationship with the Lord, and through looking to God and spending time alone with Him, reading the Bible, praising and worshiping Him, praying to and seeking Him, communing with Him, pouring out our hearts to Him and crying out to Him, hearing Him and obeying Him, learning to abide in Him, to rest, trust, and put our expectation in Him, we will find love, hope, help, encouragement, strength, wisdom, healing, comfort, rest, peace, joy, etc. from the wonderfully beautifully magnificently gloriously loving heart and hands of almighty God! Beyond measure!
Sometimes we become bitter and angry because we feel people are not meeting our needs and desires in our times of suffering. Bitterness and anger are sin and should be gotten rid of. Humans are imperfect and cannot give us what only God can. Please don’t condemn others for not meeting your expectations in your seasons of suffering. Place your hope, trust, and expectation IN THE LORD!
Cry out to God almighty, cry out to Him, pour out your heart to Him, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be totally devoted to Him, and receive from the Lord all He has for you moment by moment, step by step, and breath by breath as you press on. Oh, cry out!
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2 NKJV
“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings…” Psalms 61:1-4 NKJV
“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us….” Psalms 62:8 NKJV
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.” Psalms 62:5 NKJV
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 NKJV
