WINGS TO FLY

0
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 KJV

Do you want wings to fly? Do you need strength right now? Are you exhausted? Have you grown weary? Are you tired of the battle? This well-known Bible verse is often misunderstood because the word “wait” in this context is not clearly understood.

In the original Hebrew language, “wait” means the following:

* bind together
* collect
* expect
* look
* patiently
* tarry
* wait

God wants you to bind yourself to Him, to look to Him, to patiently wait for Him with great expectation. This is far more than merely sitting around waiting for God to show up. Spend time with the Lord. Seek His face. Study His Word. Pray and listen. Learn from Him. Obey what He commands. Follow Him. Learn of His ways. Put them into action. Yes, bind to Him.
