Dear everybody,…….. We are paralyzed doggies Mr. Simeon and Miss Mercy whom Mommy took under her wings years ago when nobody else wanted us since we were paralyzed and needing lots of long-term love & help that lots of people wouldn’t want to do because of all the time and sacrifice and care involved…….. Me, Mr. Simeon, was hit by a hit-and-run driver. Me, Miss Mercy, was hit probably by a truck. There was no hope for us when we came into Mommy’s life, but Mommy has the hope of the Lord Jesus Christ and obeyed the Lord who wanted her to keep us with her other rescued doggies. Now we travel with Mommy with our 2 handicapped siblings Gracie and Abigail on the road for Jesus full-time as she does her streets ministry work & writes and publishes Gospel tracts, devotionals, and books. We require tons of love & attention & veterinary care & personal care because we can’t do lots on our own, but because of Jesus and Mommy we’re super happy, super loved, super spoiled doggies who thoroughly enjoyed our lives. We decided to step in with this little letter because Mommy put out the word recently she could use some BIG HELP with BIG DONATIONS for our veterinary care seeing as how several of us have had medical issues recently. Unfortunately, very, very few people came to the rescue to help with donations, so we thought it was time we best step in. We thought with our sweet loving faces & cute picture on the streets of New York City with Mommy that maybe you would consider opening your hearts & making donations to help Mommy & her ministry. You can learn all about Mommy, her ministry, us (the streets ministry doggies) at http://www.GoodNews.love, and you can make donations on her website or contact her at 843-338-2219 or lara@GoodNews.love. Love from Mr. Simeon and Miss Mercy!!! p.s. We hope you’ll sign up on her website for her GOOD NEWS DAILY writing ’cause we see how hard Mommy works at her writing for Jesus & feel very much you’ll be greatly blessed by reading it. Please remember to visit http://www.GoodNews.love, and we look forward to seeing what comes of our little letter. Love from, paralyzed precious streets ministry doggies Mr. Simeon and Miss Mercy…!

*******PLEASE SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SEE TODAY’S ENTIRE ISSUE OF GOOD NEWS DAILY! THERE IS PLENTY IN IT ALL FOR THE GLORY OF THE LORD! MAY YOU FEEL LOVED AND BE HELPED, ENCOURAGED, INSPIRED, & BLESSED. ENJOY!*******………. LARA’S LATEST UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST HANDICAPPED STREETS DOGGY UPDATE! (PLENTY OF LOVE, ENCOURAGEMENT, & DEVOTIONALS BELOW!) Dear friend, Would you please pray for my beloved handicapped streets ministry doggies & for financial support for their veterinary care? 12-year-old paralyzed Mr. Simeon was diagnosed with double ear infections and a UTI which is common and chronic for paralyzed doggies, and unfortunately some of the bacteria is drug resistant requiring me to make a decision about using very powerful drugs with possible serious side effects. He seems to be feeling perfectly fine most of the time, especially given his paralysis and age, so I am seeking the Lord about how to proceed. My long-time veterinarian and his wife whom I dearly love and respect and who supervise the doggies as the Lord leads me from place to place around the country are recommending a different protocol than his current short-term vet in New York City where I currently am. Please pray for wisdom! 8-year-old paralyzed Miss Mercy also seems to have a UTI, but with two paralyzed doggies with chronic UTI’s, I have been trained to use discernment as to how often to treat based on whether or not they are symptomatic. Using too much antibiotics can be unwise. More wisdom needed! 8-year-old Gracie who was dumped at a gas station and hit by 2 cars on the same day years ago had another bout of acid reflux recently, so I switched her back to a medication that really works for her though it is not the best drug for long-term use. Her health and well-being and ability to love and enjoy life are the priority! Right now she is doing great again! 14-year-old Abigail has really, really slowed down but appears to be perfectly happy and enjoying her little life. Despite her age, she is in remarkably good health and doing well on her anti-inflammation medication and pain medication as needed! Miss Mommy (me) could absolutely use prayer too as it’s a tremendous amount of work taking care of 4 handicapped doggies on the road for Jesus. But I wouldn’t trade them or caring for them for anything. I LOVE the Lord with all my heart, He has entrusted them to me, and I absolutely adore them! Not to mention they are a big part of this ministry, and the general public loves, loves, love them! Oh, how very often the Lord uses these special doggies to draw people to me so I can give them Gospel tracts and talk to them about Jesus! Hallelujah. Ruff. Ruff. AMEN! Just in case you’re wondering, the doggies get tons of love & attention, and I am with them TONS as we’re often out on the streets or inside as I spend time with the Lord and write and minister to people by phone whereby their massive doggy bed they all share is about 2 feet from my bed. And paralyzed Mr. Simeon can often be found cuddled up with Mommy right by her computer – yes, on her bed! Or is it his now? p.s. Unfortunately my recent mention of needing donations for the doggies which I sent out to thousands of people only turned up a very small amount of donations compared with the cost of their recent veterinarian bills. Trusting the Lord, and your love, prayers, and generosity much appreciated!!!! If you would like to donate specifically toward the doggies, please contact me at 843-338-2219 or lara@GoodNews.love. IF YOU NEED HELP BEGINNING OR PRESSING ON IN A FOREVER RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT AT 843-338-2219 OR lara@GoodNews.love love & blessings, lara TODAY’S LITTLE LETTER FROM LARA Dear friend, Ever felt like quitting? I have! So many times I couldn’t possibly count. Not surprising given the decades of challenges I’ve faced. I haven’t had the easiest life. The struggles have seemed virtually relentless for as long as I can remember. BUT – But? Yes, but! BUT despite my trials, I DO NOT QUIT. And despite the challenges, I have reason to REJOICE! I do not quit because I love the Lord Jesus Christ more than anything and anyone in the universe, and I BELONG TO HIM FOREVER! The Lord gives me the strength to endure, and my heart’s cry is to love and worship and serve the Lord with all my heart and to tell the world about Him. How could I possibly rejoice given I haven’t experienced much of the worldly happiness that many people have? Here is why. This world is temporary. This life is temporary. JESUS CHRIST IS FOREVER! And He is the Son of God, He is Lord, He came to this earth and lived a perfect life and died on the cross to pay our sin punishment and was raised from the dead. Why? So all who turn from their sins, believe in Him as Lord, truly turning their lives over to God and His ways, are forgiven and given EVERLASTING LIFE WITH HIM instead of eternity in hell and the lake of fire apart from God. For those of us who struggle, for those who face great trials, let us NOT QUIT. Let us turn from our sins, believe in Christ as Lord, wholly devote our hearts and lives to Him, LIVE UTTERLY FOR HIM RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, and REJOICE that WE WILL BE WITH JESUS FOREVERMORE! Not to mention we don’t need to wait for heaven to celebrate! When we receive Jesus Christ as Lord, HIS SPIRIT COMES TO LIVE RIGHT INSIDE US and our relationship with the Lord doesn’t begin when our lives are over. OUR RELATIONSHIP IS NOW AND FOREVER! Let us rejoice that we are Christ’s and Christ is ours NOW AND FOREVER, HALLELUJAH, AMEN! “My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26 “while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:18 love & blessings, lara AN EXTRA SPECIAL LETTER FROM LARA Dear friend, I was walking down the New York City sidewalk just minutes ago when I realized a single tear was slowly sliding down my right cheek. I had been holding in the tears as I walked out of my building as a neighbor walked up behind me. Just minutes before, I had spoken in my heart to the Lord these words. “I’m still standing. Only by your grace, Lord.” I was astonished that I am still standing. Not broken beyond repair as I once was. Despite today is my ex-husband’s memorial service. Despite I just found out a beloved friend died yesterday. Despite about a week or so ago I learned an old friend committed suicide. Despite I just lost a group of people and a special friendship. Despite I have had 3 vet emergencies, huge vet bills, and a tough decision to make regarding a dog. Despite I’m in a tough expensive city very much on my own with Jesus and my beloved doggies. Despite how hard and intense my ministry work can be. Despite the trials of this life. Friend, this isn’t about me and what I’m walking through. I have a message for you. WHEN WE SURRENDER OURSELVES UTTERLY TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, NO MATTER OUR TRIALS, HE WILL CARRY US THROUGH! I have long since learned in the tough times not to distance myself from the Lord, but instead to come running to Him, to throw myself at His feet, to cry out to Him, to pour out my heart to Him, to open His Word and dig deep inside of it, to listen for His sweet beloved voice, to take comfort in Him and to hide myself away in His refuge, to take shelter in the one with whom I will be forever. Facing trials? Run to Jesus! Take refuge in Him! Surrender all to the Lord! May He carry you forth in the love, grace, mercy, peace, hope, and joy of His everlasting arms! AMEN! “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”” Psalm 91:1-2 TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” Proverbs 15:1-2 Long ago, I was in a relationship where I was very poorly treated. When the man raged at me, I opened my mouth and poured out all the hurt, self-pity, anger, bitterness, jealousy, control, manipulation, pride, judgment, condemnation, arrogance, criticism, etc. that filled my wicked heart. The Lord would speak to my heart that I should walk away. Instead, I stood my ground – and fought. The Bible isn’t just to read. It’s to live by. The Spirit of God isn’t to just dwell inside Christ’s followers. He is to listen to, to be led by, to obey. See the verse above? How to handle other people’s anger? Turn to the Lord. Turn to the Bible. This is just one verse concerning the subject. The Lord makes clear we are to love, to forgive, to be merciful, to repent of our own wickedness and purify OUR hearts & lives, sometimes to separate ourselves from people, in the verse above to use a soft answer, etc. Long story short. In all things in life, regardless of what we face, we are to humbly submit ourselves to the Lord and His ways as He teaches us in His Word! Are you? MORE DAILY INSPIRATION FOR TODAY ON THE BATTLEFIELD? “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Cor. 10:4-6 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 Battle? What battle? Yes, you read that right. Me, right in the thick of another fiery spiritual battle, after all my experience going through battle after spiritual battle through the years, neglected to see I was right in the thick of battle. Until the Spirit of God who inhabits His followers woke me up and showed me the truth. Friend, can you imagine being on a battlefield in a real war and not even realizing you’re in a war? Seems ridiculous, doesn’t it? What would be the biggest problem with this? A soldier wouldn’t be in his armor, wouldn’t have his weapons ready and available, wouldn’t be looking to his commander, wouldn’t be fighting alongside his fellow soldiers, wouldn’t pay attention to the battle plan, wouldn’t attack his opponents, wouldn’t defend himself, etc. How could he possibly win the war let alone a battle? He would be standing in the middle of a war like a fool, wouldn’t he? Oh, how Satan the arch enemy of Christ’s followers loves for us not to recognize when we’re in a spiritual battle so that we don’t look to the Lord our commander-in-chief, don’t follow the battle plan which is in the Bible, don’t wear our armor as we see in Ephesians 6, don’t fight with our fellow soldiers, other followers of Christ, and don’t quite frankly fight at all! Let us recognize when we’re in a spiritual battle so we look to the Lord, so we fight according to His leading, and so we secure victory in Christ! And let us love, encourage, and pray for one another as we go through the battles of this life! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I wrote that is available in print by contacting me at 843-338-2219 or via lara@GoodNews.love.   BLESSINGS 195-197 “Furthermore King David said to all the assembly: “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God.” 1 Chron. 29:1 King David declares God has chosen His son Solomon to build His temple. What a blessing the Creator of the universe, God almighty, chooses us – we who are nothing without Him – to love and serve Him! How humbling! What a privilege! To do His work! To glorify His name! King David makes known his son Solomon is young and doesn’t have the experience he undoubtedly needs to build God’s temple. And King David emphasizes this is an enormous work to which God is calling Solomon. The blessing in this for you and me? No matter how huge the work to which God calls us, no matter our limitations as humans such as concerning age and experience, the Lord will provide all we need to love, serve, and glorify Him in whatever He calls us to do for Him! Such a blessing that He provides all we need! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL YOUR WILL, LORD, NOT THEIRS “But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29 A beloved friend told me one day her husband wondered if it was time for me to leave my current location and go wherever the Lord wanted to send me next. I had totally clarity when I responded. I knew that I knew that I knew it wasn’t time – yet. A woman I met told me essentially I was doing a terrible job with something the Lord had given me to do. I knew in my heart I was not doing the terrible job she thought I was doing. I’m well aware I fall short of the Lord’s glory and need repentance on an ongoing basis, but I was confident her words missed the mark. A woman several years ago told me I had no business being on the road for Jesus. A man told me the same. They strongly in no uncertain terms told me their emphatic opinion I needed to change course and do what THEY THOUGHT I should do. Friend, when our lives are over, and we stand before the Lord which we will all do, we will NOT have to give an account of whether we pleased others, measured up to their opinions and expectations, fulfilled their will for us, etc. WE WILL HAVE TO GIVE AN ACCOUNT BEFORE THE LORD BASED ON HIS WILL FOR OUR LIVES ON THIS EARTH. As well-meaning as people can be, their will for us does not always line up with God’s will for us. And it is our business not to go through our lives trying to make the world happy with us based on their opinions. Our business is to LIVE FOR CHRIST! TO SEEK AND FULFILL THE LORD’S WILL FOR US! When people are advising us to go against the Lord’s will in our lives, we need to do the Lord’s will anyway. FOR JESUS CHRIST IS LORD FOREVER! Above all else, we need to spend time alone with the Lord and the Bible as our number one priority. He is to be our first love and highest priority in life. We need to praise Him, pray to Him, and follow Him. We most assuredly should seek godly counsel from strong Christ followers deeply grounded in the Bible as He leads us, but there will come times when people will come against us and their opinions will not line up with God’s will for us. In those times, let us not seek to please and obey them. Let us seek – always – to love, please, and obey the Lord God almighty. AMEN! Though the verse above is in a certain context, which you can study in Acts 5, the point is clear. Our obedience first and foremost must be to Christ! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE HOW CAN I SERVE YOU TODAY, LORD?  “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness..” Psalm 143:10 Ever asked the Lord how you can serve Him today? In today’s culture, I often see people serving the Lord based on what they like, what makes them comfortable, what is familiar, what their friends are doing, what their pastor tells them he feels like they should do, what others think, what they’re good at, etc. Serving the Lord is a vital part of being a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, but let’s be sure to SEEK HIM, to HEAR HIM, and to OBEY HIM in ALL THINGS – service included. Please ask the Lord how He wants you to serve Him! He may not call you to something you like, or to what is familiar and comfortable, to what is easy and to what your friends are doing, but serving the Lord should be based above all else on HIS WILL in HIS TIME for HIS GLORY! AMEN!

Dear friend, Praise the Lord a loving Christ-following couple felt led by the Lord to donate a high-yield TONER to my ministry which will help countless people nationwide to receive Gospel tracts and devotionals to learn about and be encouraged and supported in believing in and forever following the Lord Jesus Christ. My heart’s cry is for more and more people to step forward in faith and love and make the sacrifice they have made by giving to this ministry for Christ. People can give to the ministry as a whole to help me fulfill my mission to help people find and forever follow the Lord Jesus Christ, or they can donate to something very specific as this couple is so blessedly doing. Needs include: * toner, paper, & staples * housing/hotels which are used year-round as I’m on the road full-time with the handicapped streets ministry doggies & use the housing/hotels as a portable office, shelter for me & the doggies, and usually minister in, nearby, and further away from where we stay * veterinary supplies & food & provision for the handicapped streets ministry doggies * general operating costs which I try hard to keep to a minimum I do not receive a salary and do not have a staff and am devoted 24-7 to the Lord and ministry, and donations toward my personal needs are always welcome as well!!! The Bible shows us what we SHOULD do to please the Lord – and what we should NOT do that displeases Him. Is there any way in which you have been grieving the Lord? When we have a close relationship with Christ and spend time alone with Him and the Bible daily, rest assured His Spirit who inhabits His followers will bring correction when we need it. I have been falling into fear, doubt, and distrust recently, and surely this grieves the Spirit of God. I have needed to repent and be diligent in striving to walk forward in faith. How about you? I encourage you to seek the Lord and see if there’s anything you’re doing to grieve Him. If there is, please let it go. Then let Him lead you forth! “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:30-32 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all,… ” Luke 12:1 Notice in these verses how many people came to hear Jesus. So many that they trampled over each other! We’re living in a time right now when it seems much if not most of this world is trampling over each other to run in the opposite direction of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible. I don’t know about you, but if the Lord Jesus Christ came to town today, I would be running so fast and furiously and excitedly and passionately to Him that I’d probably trample right over Him! I wouldn’t want anything or anyone to get in my way! I can’t think of anything more incredible in the universe than to be face to face with the Lord! Friend, if the Lord came to your town today and He found you running, which way would you be running? Are your heart and life wholly His? Is there anything more wonderful and exciting to you in the universe than Jesus? If so, it’s time to change your priorities. May He be your first love and greatest priority in life – now and forevermore! AMEN! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I wrote that is available in print by contacting me at 843-338-2219 or via lara@GoodNews.love.   Blessing #194 “then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head.” Ezekiel 33:4 The Lord has such an astonishingly amazingly wonderful love for His creation that though we deserve death, hell, and the lake of fire for our sins, He doesn’t find pleasure in the punishment (Ezekiel 33:11). No, not at all! He is so loving, so merciful! He so desires we be in His forever fellowship instead! What does He tell the prophet Ezekiel to do in this verse? To call the people back then to repentance so they turn to the Lord for forgiveness. He desires we all repent and turn to Him as Lord! Oh, how blessedly loving, kind, and merciful is the Lord! Let us repent and turn to Him forevermore! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT ME! “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”” Deuteronomy 31:6 “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Philippians 1:6 Here comes a confession. A big one. I actually had the sickening audacity to be up in the middle of the night telling the Lord how much I didn’t feel He cared about me! Oh, sure, I believed He loved me. But not that He cared! My heart was filled with fear, worry, doubt, distrust, and my soul was weary, so weary. From the trials of this life. Of course the Lord in His utter disgust and contempt made the big pronouncement that He would now leave and forsake me, that He was through with me, that He had given up on me, that He would now find a replacement for me, someone better, smarter, more filled with faith, someone who wasn’t so messed up as me. Right? WRONG! The Lord in His amazing love, mercy, grace, kindness, and patience led me to repentance for my wrong thinking and helped me to go back to sleep and get much needed rest. Then, come morning, He filled me with His love and helped me to press on in my life and ministry. His mercy is stunningly awesome! His love is infinitely unfathomably glorious! His patience we can’t even conceive of! His kindness is like no human being is even capable of! Oh, how magnificent is the Lord! Instead of turning away from me, He draws me closer to Himself. He changes me. He forgives and restores me, revives and refreshes me, calls me over and again to learn to trust in Him, to rest in Him, to learn from Him, and to carry on. In His strength. For His phenomenal everlasting glory! Friend, when we have fallen, when we fall short, when we do as I did, we need to turn to the Lord seeking and receiving His forgiveness, to turn to His Word, to believe His love for us, to believe His Word to us, and to yield ourselves to Him as He continues His work in and through us. Let us press on! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE The Garbage Men God Sees  “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Colossians 5:13 Sometimes I stop to thank garbage men for the work they do. I want them to feel appreciated. Has it ever crossed your mind how much of this world is taken for granted, overlooked, disregarded, underappreciated or unappreciated, not validated, ignored, laughed at or looked down upon, and left in the dust as we hurry through our lives so often taking for granted all the people and all the ways they serve? The Lord sees us all, and He sees all the ways we serve. Shouldn’t we see and acknowledge and be thankful for and love one another no matter the ways in which we serve? No matter how big or little the service seems? I recently noticed all the food trucks in New York City as the truck drivers deliver food to the numerous restaurants. They carry super heavy loads of food day after day and walk up and down staircases into basements in all sorts of weather delivering food people will later eat. Have you considered the farmers who farm the food? Or the businessmen who organize the transport of it? What about the janitors who clean public school and hospital bathrooms? What about government workers who get so often badmouthed? This is one big world, isn’t it? With service worldwide. All sorts of it. Isn’t it time we be thankful for all those serving the Lord and others? Not everyone considers their work as service to the Lord. But in all that we do, work or otherwise, we should consider our work as to Him. And we should be thankful for all those who are serving however they may be called. Oh, let us be thankful! And let us express our thanksgiving – to the Lord and to others. AMEN!

MAY YOU FEEL LOVED AND BE HELPED, ENCOURAGED, INSPIRED, & BLESSED. ENJOY!*******………… LARA’S LATEST UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST……… Dear friend, Yesterday I had the pleasure and privilege of attending a monthly meeting in New York City of pastors and leaders in ministry where we worshiped the Lord in praise and song, listened to a Bible-based message of encouragement from the pastor of the church where me met, prayed all at the same time aloud to the Lord in thanksgiving, and then sat down and shared a meal together. I left refreshed, encouraged, and excited to press on in ministry for the Lord. The Lord did not create His followers to have denominations and differences but instead to be of one accord as one united BODY OF CHRIST. The church per the Bible is not a specific building where a limited number of believers in the Lord assemble, but is instead THE UNIVERSAL WORLDWIDE GROUP OF ALL WHO FOLLOW JESUS! I encourage you to not limit your prayers to those who attend the church you attend, or to those who are part of a particular denomination, but to pray for whomever the Lord desires holding in your heart the knowledge that ALL who BELIEVE IN AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST AS LORD are part of God’s FOREVER FAMILY who will all one day be ALL TOGETHER FACE TO FACE IN THE LORD’S EVERLASTING GLORIOUS PRESENCE! Let us pray for unbelievers who need to repent and turn to Christ as Lord, and let us pray for believers in Christ as belonging to Christ’s international everlasting family! JESUS’ PRAYER FOR BELIEVERS IN HIM!: ““I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:20-23 PLEASE ENJOY TODAY’S EDITION OF GOOD NEWS DAILY AND REMEMBER TO SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SEE THE FULL ISSUE! The Spirit of God brought to light the very bait I have kept taking and told me NOT TO TAKE IT! Ugh. Wish I didn’t need the reminder. But I did. And I do! And maybe you need encouragement in this area also. My beloved pastor and father in Christ who went on to be with the Lord several years ago taught his little sheep that a good fisherman will go to the same pond for as long as he knows he will get the fish he wants to catch! When he stops catching fish in that pond, he will move on. He told us the devil will keep coming back to us with the same temptation when he knows we will keep taking that very same bait! I encourage you to be careful as I need to be about the bait the devil is using to tempt you. Let us learn in the strength of Christ for the glory of Christ not to take the devil’s bait whether it’s the same old bait he has sent our way over and again or whether it’s new bait. Let’s say no to the devil and his temptations and YES TO CHRIST, AMEN! “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” James 1:12-15 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”” Luke 13:1-5 Ever thought your sins are not as bad as other people’s? Or that your sins are far worse? Please understand the message in the verses above. WE ARE ALL SINNERS WHO NEED TO REPENT AND TURN TO JESUS CHRIST AS LORD! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US NEEDS TO TURN FROM A LIFESTYLE OF SIN AND BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND DIED ON THE CROSS TO PAY OUR SIN PUNISHMENT AND WAS RAISED FROM DEATH. EACH OF US NEEDS TO TURN TO GOD AND HIS WAYS. EACH OF US NEEDS TO STOP LIVING FOR SELF ACCORDING TO THE WORLD’S WAYS AND COMMIT TO LIVE FOR CHRIST ACCORDING TO HIS WAYS. JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE! Oh, how dangerous it is to compare ourselves to others and to justify our sin by pointing our fingers at others and think we’re not as bad off as they are. WE ALL FALL SHORT OF GOD’S GLORY, NONE OF US IS RIGHTEOUS, ALL OF WHAT WE CONSIDER OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS LIKE FILTHY MENSTRUAL RAGS IN GOD’S EYES, AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US NEEDS JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR OF OUR LIVES! Let us run HUMBLY to Christ’s MERCY SEAT and cry out in true sorrow over our sins for God’s forgiveness and place our hearts and lives and trust and wholesale commitment in the loving beautiful awesome all-powerful hands of the Lord God almighty! “As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.” Romans 3:10-11 “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind,” Isaiah 64:6 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I wrote that is available in print by contacting me at 843-338-2219 or via lara@GoodNews.love.   Blessing #193 ““Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Cor. 7:1 Does the Lord tell us in this verse He expects us to be perfect this very moment and for all our time on this earth? No! But He does tell us to fear Him – in other words to honor, revere, and obey Him. Through the apostle Paul, He calls us to “cleanse ourselves”. We aren’t perfectly holy in our everyday lives, but we are to be “perfecting holiness”. He is strong, firm, and tough with us – but in love, mercy, grace, and greater care and compassion than we can imagine. How patient He is with us as we learn to perfect holiness. What a blessing the Lord is such a perfect Father to us as He by His Spirit in His infinite unfathomable love brings us to completion in Him!” TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE ““Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8-9 “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3 The very most important way we can love and serve others in Christ’s name for Christ’s glory is to share with them the Gospel message and to help and encourage them and pray for them to follow the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever. But how many of us are holding back from doing exactly this because of fear, shame, pride, not wanting to be rejected, ridiculed, hated, and even persecuted, and because of distraction, other things we have made higher priorities, selfishness, or because of any other reason? Are we denying Christ in this regard in favor of pleasing ourselves? Are we making ourselves and our comfort a higher priority than Christ? We must not deny Christ before others for any reason whatsoever. We are to live for Christ, we are to proclaim Christ, we are to share Christ, we are to love and serve in Christ’s name, and we are to glorify Him in all that we do. Are you? Please read the scriptures above. Let the words soak in. Let the message soak in. May we never deny the Lord Jesus Christ! May we cry out His name to the world! May we praise Him, worship Him, and ever as His Spirit leads us tell the world about Him!

MAY YOU FEEL LOVED AND BE HELPED, ENCOURAGED, INSPIRED, & BLESSED. ENJOY!******* LARA’S LATEST UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST Dear friend, A homeless man appeared on my street one day who seemed out of touch with reality and his surroundings. He spoke gibberish and seemed to be demon-possessed. He also had an apparent speech impediment. He seemed lost, broken, and invisible to the world. I gave him a Gospel tract and talked to him about Jesus a number of times as I walked by. Then it turned cold. And wet. And he had wet his pants. And was cold. Hungry. I stopped to speak to him that cold morning. He spoke some. A little conversation. I talked to him about Jesus. Prayed for him. He was willing to receive help. Thank God. The temperature that night would be in the 20’s. It was already drizzling. I held my umbrella over him. Police and an ambulance came when I made a phone call for help though I had hoped for help finding him physical shelter. Maybe the hospital would be a good place to start. The officers treated him like a piece of trash. And they treated me pretty much like garbage. Like neither of us mattered. No respect. No kindness. No compassion. No love. They hauled him off to the hospital with not an ounce of care. I thanked them anyway to be polite. And walked off deeply sad not just over this, but over how often I see this and experience it in my own life. A world in such dire need of the Lord Jesus Christ with its back mostly turned against Him. A cold, brittle, callous, hard-hearted world. A world without Jesus. Without His love. PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE IN DIRE NEED OF JESUS! And that the Lord would send out laborers to help people find and forever follow Him! “Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”” Matthew 9:37-38 ““Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” Mt. 25:37-40 PLEASE ENJOY TODAY’S EDITION OF GOOD NEWS DAILY AND REMEMBER TO SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SEE THE FULL ISSUE! Friend, this is a LIE. It is FALSE TEACHING. It is DANGEROUS. And it can be DEADLY when we believe and live by what does not line up with God’s Word. And it can be VERY DECEPTIVE when the false teaching is coming right out of church pulpits and pews. I speak from experience. I was under false teaching for years, did not heed the warnings when they were delivered by human messengers, and only by God’s grace was delivered from it all by the Spirit of God through His Word. Notice there is no mention of the Lord Jesus Christ in that saying about dreams. Should we be living our own personal dreams apart from God anyway? No! We should be living to love, worship, praise, serve, adore, experience, enjoy, honor, revere, and glorify the Lord and to tell the world about Him – and to fulfill the dreams HE has for us according to His perfect plan, will, and purpose! Please measure whatever you hear, read, see, and believe against the Bible because the Lord always and only speaks and acts and lead us in line with His Word. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:11-13 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.” Psalm 61:4 “And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.” Isaiah 4:6 I hate when it’s cold and rainy and my umbrella virtually flies away from me but instead sticks around and in the wind turns itself inside out so I look like a fool walking down the street and have to try to get it turned back around the right away as I get soaked in the rain. Ugh. When I reread the update and prayer request I wrote above in this issue of GOOD NEWS DAILY, I noticed how I had written that I had hoped to find shelter for the homeless man I tried to help. I edited the piece and added, “physical” before the word “shelter” because the Holy Spirit showed me that I had already pointed the man in need to shelter. To the shelter of the Lord Jesus Christ. All man-made shelter, whether it be houses, tents, homeless shelters, sleeping bags, whatever it may be, is temporary. This world will one day be gone before the Lord creates the new heavens and earth and His followers are with Him face to face forever in His glorious eternal Kingdom. We can help people in need to find physical shelters, but the most important help we will ever give anyone on this earth is to help lead them to the shelter of the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus is Lord. He is the Son of God. He came to the earth and lived a perfect life in human form. He died on the cross an indescribably heinous death to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead. We are all sinners bound for hell and the lake of fire forever apart from the Lord. But those who turn from our sins and believe in Him as Lord and in His cross and resurrection, fully devoting ourselves to the Lord and His ways, receive Him as Lord and are promised forever life with Him. We are promised to be in His forever Kingdom, everlasting shelter with Christ! And our relationship with Him begins right here on this earth such that even through our toughest times and mightiest battles on this earth, we can run into the shelter of Christ and His Word. Finding love, peace, hope, joy, comfort, compassion, wisdom, direction, grace, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, tenderness, rest, etc. IN CHRIST! Come into the shelter of Christ, friend! Come into His refuge! Abide in Him! Enjoy His love and comfort forevermore, AMEN! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I wrote that is available in print by contacting me at 843-338-2219 or via lara@GoodNews.love.   BLESSING 192 “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,” Ephesians 5:18 NOTHING and NOBODY will ever satisfy and fulfill and complete and richly, abundantly, magnificently, lovingly, peacefully, gloriously, wondrously, joyfully, blissfully, bless us the way the Holy Spirit of God who dwells inside Christ’s followers does – and will. Just as we can drink and drink thirstily and longingly and desperately of drink and the things and people of this earth, we can turn our focus to the Lord, to His Spirit, and to His Word – the Bible – and receive satisfaction beyond description. Oh, may we thirst, thirst, thirst for the Lord – and cry out to Him to fill us with more and more of His blessed Spirit, AMEN! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL “Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.” 1 Thess. 4:1-2 “Help me to gratify you,” I prayed one morning. Now hold up a minute. Did I pray that? ME? Self-centered me? Me so self-centered the whole world was supposed to revolve around me? Or so I had seemed to think for years? I couldn’t recall ever thinking of the word “gratify” in any other way than as relating to GRATIFYING THE FLESH. GRATIFYING SELF. Did I just pray to gratify the Lord? What exactly did the word mean anyway? I looked it up. Merriam-Webster dictionary online says, “to be a source of or give pleasure or satisfaction to.” I was reminded of verses I had read the night before in my endless hunger and thirst for more of the Lord and the Bible. The verses above. What had struck me as I read them is the idea of ABOUNDING – which makes me think of overflowing and growing still – in PLEASING JESUS! Not just pleasing the Lord a little here and there. But desiring and committing to please Him MORE AND MORE! Yearning to bring pleasure to precious Jesus in abundance – and more and more of it at that! Oh, how the Lord has changed my heart. I don’t live any longer to gratify me. I desire more than anything to gratify the Lord – more and more and on and on! Let’s leave self-gratification behind, my friend. The Lord loves us and will provide for us and take care of our needs and bless us however He desires. Our greatest desire shouldn’t be to gratify ourselves. May our greatest love be the Lord and our greatest desire be to worship, serve, obey, praise, honor, revere, magnify, glorify, and GRATIFY the Lord! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE I DON’T WANT TO GO THERE! “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23 “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Cor. 5:15 ““But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46 ““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 I have been loving and serving the Lord with all my heart for some time now, and one wild and beautiful thing I’ve discovered about where the Holy Spirit sends me is this. So many times where and to whom I desperately don’t want to go have turned out to be some of the most incredible and powerful opportunities to serve Jesus and others. It goes against the human flesh and modern day culture to go where and to whom we don’t want to go, doesn’t it? We as a world seem to be more and more focused on me, me, me. On SELF. On THE FLESH. Even so many who profess Christ as Lord it seems call Him Lord but believe we are to live our lives to satisfy ourselves. Oh, not so! So wrong! But following Christ isn’t about us. It’s ABOUT THE LORD and it’s about LOVING AND SERVING HIM AND OTHERS WITH ALL OUR HEARTS! When the Lord says go somewhere or to someone, we need to go. In obedience to Him. For His is Lord forever. If you’ve been resisting the Lord and even rebelling against His will for you as far as where or to whom He has made clear He wants you to go, deny yourself, take up your little cross, and follow Him forth. Go and love. Go and serve. In Christ’s name. For the glory of Christ, AMEN! p.s. For years I called Christ Lord but lived for self. No more. We weren’t created to live for us. We were created to live FOR HIM! Glory be to the Lord forevermore! AMEN! Hallelujah!

LATEST UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST……… Dear friend, I’ve noticed since I went out on the road full-time for Jesus with my special needs streets ministry doggies doing streets ministry and writing and publishing Gospel tracts, devotionals, and books that there has been exceedingly little volunteer help and a bare minimum of financial support. As extremely hard as this has been, it has forced me into a position of learning at an unimaginably deep level how to trust in and depend on and look to the Lord for everything right down to the physical and mental strength to do the work of what would normally be done by many people. I am fully devoted to the Lord and my ministry work and will most assuredly press on. Your continued prayers would be so greatly appreciated! Some seem to have unfathomably hard ones. Others fall somewhere in between. As humans in a world filled with sin, we all have our challenges. I stumbled upon the verse below early one morning and found such comfort in it. I love the Lord more than anything or anyone in the universe, and I am also madly and passionately in love with His Word. Look how the psalmist found delight and comfort in scriptures and how he relied on them to get through his affliction. I hope with all my heart your life is fully devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ and that you take time daily alone with Him and the Bible – finding the love, mercy, grace, strength, wisdom, growth, peace, joy, and comfort that can only be found in the Lord and His Word! Whether you’re going through a hard time or easy one or somewhere in between, please make the Lord and His Word your highest priority – each and every day and FOREVER! “Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.” Psalm 119:92 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24 A TINY BIG WORD REGARDING SIN! Sometimes tiny words have really BIG significance. Like in the verses above. Notice the word “in”. Specifically “in me”. The psalmist is crying out to the Lord to tell him if there is any wickedness IN him. Significance? We need to be careful not to assume that sin only manifests in our actions. We can also have sin in our hearts! And we need to turn away from ALL sin. Examples of sin IN us? Pride, bitterness, envy, worry, vengeance, condemnation, judgment, complaining, self-pity, lust, greed, etc. Let us bring our whole lives – hearts included – before the Lord regularly and purge from ourselves ANY and ALL sin right down to our very thoughts! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I wrote that is available in print by contacting me at 843-338-2219 or via lara@GoodNews.love.   BLESSING 191 “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.” Ephesians 5:1 What an infinitely rich, vibrant, lovely blessing the Lord, Creator of the universe, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Alpha and Omega, beginning and end (please see the Book of Revelation for these attributes and more), yes, world Savior, healer, redeemer, God of love, hope, comfort, and peace, all powerful, Good Shepherd, Great Shepherd gives Himself to follow and imitate and model ourselves after. And, He teaches us how and enables us by His Spirit through the Word to do so. Blessed be the Lord forever and ever, AMEN! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL COMMUNING WITH GOD! “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;” Colossians 4:2 I’m not big on praying other people’s prayers, but it is my hope this prayer I wrote to the Lord will inspire you to pour out your own heart to Him and cry out to Him with your own prayers and to desire and commit and follow through on living utterly for Him! Today is a new day. A new week. A fresh start. What do YOU want with it, my Lord? You created me. I just read in your Word, “Teach me to do your will.” Today I ask for just that. That you would teach me and help me to do your will so YOU ARE GLORIFIED. Let this day not be about me and what I want. Let it be about you and what you want. Fill me with your Spirit and use me for YOUR GLORY. I want to bring you joy today, Lord. I want to delight in you just as your Word says. You say you will then bring me the desires of my heart. If I delight in you, Father, then I believe you will place in my heart YOUR DESIRES. I used to live for me, Lord, as you well know. Today I want to live FOR YOU. I want to be closer to you than ever before. This world is so filled with trials. My life is so filled with struggles. But you are greater than it all. Today, dear Lord, help me to bring honor and pleasure to you. Carry me through the trials of this life and use me through the ups and downs and joys and challenges to help others to find and follow you forevermore. I LOVE YOU, LORD! I am yours! Teach me your ways and use me to bring a smile to your heart. You are my Father, and I want to make you proud to call me daughter. You are my Lord, and I want to be a servant who makes you happy. I love you, precious Jesus! Forever and ever, I love you Lord! AMEN! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE TOO FAR GONE TO SERVE? No!  “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.” 1 Cor. 1:26-29 The Lord can use anyone He desires to serve Him, no matter our seeming limitations, and how imperative it is that we don’t give up and choose not to serve Him because we feel it impossible to be of any use to the Lord. We need to remember the glory in our serving Him doesn’t go to us anyway; it goes to Him. So it shouldn’t surprise us when He chooses the least likely people to serve to make it plain and clear He is to be glorified! I sent a message to a precious husband and wife one day who were going through great medical trials. I hope my words to them might be an encouragement to you or perhaps someone you know! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP! Some of the hardest times in our lives can be opportunities for the greatest growth in our relationship with Christ as well as for incredible service to HIM! Please don’t let the enemy make you think you both are too old or too sick or too far gone or too home bound to be of use to the Lord. You may find if you yield yourselves utterly to Jesus that now is the time you both are of the greatest use to Him ever!!!!

He was reminding me given my history of living in the past that He wants me to go forward not backward – specifically regarding something He had recently led me out of. Living in the past really isn’t living anyway, is it? Isn’t it really about being stuck and in bondage to the past such that we are not entirely free to follow the Lord Jesus Christ as He leads us forward? Anything or anyone you need to let go from the past per the leading of the Lord? I encourage you to follow the Lord Jesus Christ day in and day out including when the Lord makes clear it’s time to leave the past where it belongs. In the past. Let’s press on! “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION BUT THIS DOESN’T MAKE SENSE! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 “That doesn’t make sense,” I whined when the Lord made clear He wanted me to do something. “It doesn’t need to make sense, does it?” His Spirit essentially said to my heart. “Just do it.” Friend, we don’t need to understand the Lord’s instructions. He is Lord! We simply need to follow the instructions! We need to simply follow Him! Is there something in your life right now you are clear the Lord is telling you to do? Something that maybe doesn’t make sense when you consider it? Consider this. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD FOREVERMORE! When the Lord gives us instructions, whether or not they make sense isn’t the point. We need to obey. For He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world, almighty God, sovereign God, awesome master, magnificent redeemer, Jesus the Christ forever and ever AMEN! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I recently wrote that will soon be available in print by the grace of the Lord for the glory of the Lord!  Blessings #187-9 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 Three more blessings. Kindness. Tenderheartedness. Forgiveness. The Lord calls us to this. To be this way. To be kind. To be tenderhearted. To forgive. But this verse does not stop here. We are to forgive as God forgives us through Christ when we turn in repentance and faith to Him. Who is the greatest role model ever of kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness? The Lord Jesus Christ! Who gives us the ability when we surrender to Him to be kind, and tenderhearted, and to forgive, even in the hardest of situations? Jesus! Oh, such blessings! Such blessedness! Such love and mercy! Thank you most precious Father! Amen! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL WHERE ARE YOU GOING, MY FRIEND?  “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 Yesterday, I expected to hear the news that a beloved friend after a long arduous life-threatening medical trial had been taken off a ventilator in the hospital and died. Instead, I was told she had woken up from her apparent coma and began to speak. A miracle of the Lord. She may live for another day. She may live for 25 more years. The Lord numbers our days on this earth. My friend told me once she had been looking up to the heavens since she was a child excitedly waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ to come again. Oh, how she loved the Lord even as a child! When she was diagnosed with a deadly disease, she had peace. She knew either she would survive and the Lord would be with her here on this earth, or she would die and go be with Him for eternity. There is NOTHING and NOBODY more important in the universe than THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and we don’t know when we will draw our last breath. The only way to forever with God in heaven instead of eternity in hell and the lake of fire is THROUGH THE LORD who died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead. We are given His glorious gift of forever life with Him when we turn from our sins, believe in and receive Him as Lord, and devote our lives to God and His ways. This life is temporary. Eternity is not. Where and with whom will you spend it? TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE YOUR CALENDAR BOOK “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Cor. 5:15 Do you keep a calendar book? If so, how much of it is filled with spending time alone with Jesus and the Bible? How much of it is filled with serving Him in your everyday life? How much of it is filled with telling others about Him? How much of it is filled with doing things that bring the Lord praise, honor, and glory? How much of it is filled with LIVING FOR JESUS instead of living for yourself? For years, I told the world I believed in Jesus but lived for myself according to the world’s ways. Today, because of His loving, merciful, kind chastening and correction, I live for the Lord according to His ways. Someone once helped me see there is a difference between someone who believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and someone who follows Jesus Christ as Lord. Today, at long last, by His grace alone, I am a full-fledged follower. What does your calendar book reveal? Does it show you are living wholly for Christ? Oh, may it be so!

Anyone who knew what it was would probably have agreed. There was really nothing wrong with it in the grand scheme of things. It’s something in fact people do all the time. But there was in fact a problem. A big one. It’s not something the Lord wanted me to do. So because He is Lord, I knew what to do. I didn’t do it. Friend, temptations aren’t always bad things. They can be good things. BUT WHEN IT’S SOMETHING THE LORD DOESN’T WANT US TO DO, WE STILL NEED TO SAY NO. Not because there’s anything inherently wrong with whatever it is. But simply because it’s not the Lord’s will for us. Need to say no to something? Or someone? You know what to do. Do the will of the Lord. Don’t fall for the temptation of saying no to Jesus. Say no to the temptation and yes to the Lord! “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “”And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 A friend and I talked a good while today about the needs of homeless people. I have a huge heart for the homeless, but I also have a huge heart for all people. I told her plenty of non-profit organizations and churches and ministries provide practical material items for the homeless like food, clothing, job training, counseling, shelter, medical care, hygiene kits, etc. But the most important thing which is so often lacking is the sharing of the Gospel message and help in finding and forever following the Lord Jesus Christ. A few hours later, the thought came to me how easily so many of us seem to think of certain groups of people like the homeless when it comes to loving, giving, providing, and serving. But friend, this world is FILLED with people in need. In need of material provision, yes. But most importantly in need of the Lord Jesus Christ. WE ALL NEED JESUS. And those of us who follow Him need to tell the whole world about Him and not limit ourselves to those most obviously in need. The rich also need Jesus. Doctors, nurses, janitors, homeless shelter staff, prisoners, famous people, friends, family, teachers, students, foreigners, tourists, locals, waitresses, dog trainers, big people, little people, sick people, healthy people, and on and on it goes. THIS WORLD NEEDS JESUS, so please let us get busy telling the world about Him! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I recently wrote that will soon be available in print by the grace of the Lord for the glory of the Lord!  Blessing #185-186 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30 Two blessings in one verse. Perhaps more. These are the ones I see. First, we are not to grieve the Spirit of God who dwells in His followers. When God gives us warnings, He warns us out of His love for us. How blessed we are God loves us, warns us, and desires us to please not hurt and grieve His Spirit! Second, the Lord seals us with His Spirit when we turn from our sins and put our faith in Christ as Lord whereby we devote our lives to God and His ways. Oh, to be sealed – marked, branded, declared His – by the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world. We are made HIS! Hallelujah, thank you Lord, hallelujah, Jesus, AMEN! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL WHEN LOVE IS LITTLE “Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!…” Psalm 96:9 Today a far-away friend with a disability who doesn’t have an easy time getting around took the love, time, and care to go into a massive store and search for a product for paralyzed doggy Mr. Simeon I needed. Such a little act of love it seemed, but to me it was big. Even little things matter, you know. Even when it comes to love. Don’t you think the same is true when it comes to the Lord? Perhaps we may think our acts of love, praise, worship, and service to the Lord have to always be REALLY BIG and SUPER SIGNIFICANT. But when we love someone, don’t the little acts of love matter as much as the big ones in the sense they are all expressions of our love for that person? Let’s be careful in loving and worshiping the Lord to not leave out either one. Let’s show Him in little ways and in big ones how much we LOVE, HONOR, REVERE, and ADORE HIM! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor. 15:58 READY FOR A HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT? The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart one day that I needed to study the word “BE” in the Bible. Not a typical study, is it? Why the study? The Lord isn’t only concerned with our outward actions. He’s also concerned with our hearts, attitudes, motives, thoughts, character, etc. He tells us in His Word what to do. He also tells us what to BE. In our everyday lives this is crucial. It’s also vital in our service work for Him, isn’t it? Your assignment if you’re led is to look up, study, and put into practice the following. BE PATIENT BE STILL BE HOLY BE STRONG BE COURAGEOUS BE KIND BE PEACEABLE BE GENTLE BE GLAD BE MERCIFUL BE TENDERHEARTED BE COURTEOUS BE STEADFAST BE DILIGENT

THERE IS PLENTY IN IT ALL FOR THE GLORY OF THE LORD!  TODAY’S LITTLE LETTER FROM LARA Dear friend, In the verses below, is the Lord telling us not to pray in synagogues and on street corners and to never pray a long prayer? Look carefully. He is vehemently against what? Those who do this with the wrong motives. Specifically, those who do it to get attention and to keep up appearances. The Lord doesn’t just see our actions and hear our words. HE SEES OUR HEARTS AND MOTIVES. In all things, whether in prayer or in anything else, I encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord and to make sure your THOUGHTS, WORDS, AND ACTIONS bring love, praise, honor, joy, pleasure and glory to the Lord! “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”” Luke 20:46-47 (bold and underlining added) ““And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:5-6 (bold and underlining added) love & blessings, lara MINISTRY UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST Yesterday I had the experience of someone cursing and yelling at me in a park so loudly that anyone nearby could have heard. It’s not the first time. It will probably not be the last. He screamed for any to hear that I was not acting like a Christian and that what I did was why he can’t stand Christians. I had shared the Gospel message with Him in love and was careful to explain we need to turn from our sins and believe in and follow Jesus Christ as Lord. He was pretty unfocused listening to me until I shared we all have stuff we need to let go and that he needed to let go of stuff also. Like what? When I helped him to look at something in his life that was sin and rebellion against the Lord, he erupted into anger and stormed off. But thankfully I had already given him my Gospel tract and told him how very much I cared about him and how desperately I wanted to see him one day in heaven rather than hell. He didn’t want to receive the love of Christ and turn his life over to Him nor receive the love and care I shared with him because his sin was more important to him than the Lord and everlasting life. Please keep praying for me as the Lord has me on the front lines telling the world Jesus Christ is Lord and died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead and that the only way to everlasting life with Him is when we are born again spiritually. When we turn from a lifestyle of sin, put our faith in Him as Lord, believing the Gospel message, genuinely committing our lives to the Lord and His ways as He teaches us in the Bible. And please pray for the hearts and lives of all to whom the Lord sends me and to those nationally and internationally who read the written messages the Lord gives me. Prayers so very much appreciated! love & blessings, Lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1 “This is your time with me,” the Spirit of God spoke to my heart. “Will you spend it doing this?” No sooner had I entered into my early morning time alone with Jesus than I had become distracted and found myself on the Internet doing something. Justifying this by the fact it had to do with Jesus. But it most assuredly wasn’t spending time alone with Him, sitting at His feet so to speak, reading the Bible, praying, listening to Him. The Lord had given me a warning. Is He giving you the same? Ever find yourself distracted from the Lord and the Bible? Not even committed to Him and the Word in the first place? Not taking the time daily with Him you know you need to take? Or taking the time but finding yourself quickly interrupted and essentially chasing distractions instead of chasing after Him? Need correction like I did? And like I do regularly? Let’s give the Lord and the Word the time He deserves daily. Is there anyone or anything more important in the universe? No! Let’s devote ourselves to Him, friend, certainly yes! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I recently wrote that will soon be available in print by the grace of the Lord for the glory of the Lord!  Blessing #184 “And Moses told his father-in-law all that the Lord had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how the Lord had delivered them. Then Jethro rejoiced for all the good which the Lord had done for Israel, whom He had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians. And Jethro said, “Blessed be the Lord, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh, and who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.” Exodus 18:8-10 Moses tells his father-in-law Jethro how gloriously and mercifully and wonderfully the Lord delivered through him the Israelites from bondage in Egypt. How did Jethro respond? He rejoiced! When we share the awesomeness and blessedness of the Lord with others, they have the opportunity to rejoice with us and praise God with us. And when others share with us God’s beautiful and bountiful blessings in their lives, we can celebrate with them and praise God with them. May the Lord be glorified by us all as we all share with rejoicing the beauty and majesty of God almighty, hallelujah, AMEN! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL “Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.” Luke 21:38 Such a simple scripture. So powerful. ALL the people IN THE MORNING came to HEAR JESUS! Are ALL of us lovingly, humbly, reverently, thankfully, hungrily, thirstily, devotedly, diligently COMING TO JESUS  AND THE BIBLE IN THE MORNING TO HEAR HIM? Coming to Jesus and the Bible. In the morning. To hear Him. Friend, there is NOTHING and NOBODY more important in the universe than the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible and taking the time, love, care, and commitment to be in the presence of, seek, experience, enjoy, learn from, be changed by, surrender to, and live for than THE LORD! Rather than rush forward in the morning into the day, should not the very most important thing we do be to spend time alone with Jesus? May it be so! TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 I used to think this verse was all about people seeing the light of Christ in those of us who follow Him. Like they would see brightness and joy and hopefully be drawn to Him through us. Then the Holy Spirit took me deeper into the verse. * It’s OUR LIGHT – not lights. ONE LIGHT. THE LIGHT OF CHRIST. Not many lights in all of us. ONE. Jesus! * Our LIGHT should “SO SHINE” that people see the light, right? That’s where I missed it. That they see OUR GOOD WORKS! We who follow Jesus should live such that the world sees THE GOOD WORKS borne of Christ living in us! * Why? So people can praise and glorify us for the good we’re doing, right? Wrong! So THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is glorified – NOT US! Praise the Lord!

Then Jesus sent a cab driver who believes in Him. We spent the whole ride talking about the Lord and the Bible! The cab driver emphatically reminded me Christ’s followers are to be JOYFUL. Our joy may not be in our circumstances particularly when they are challenging as mine often are. Our JOY is in JESUS and knowing those of us who believe in and follow Him as Lord will be with Him FOREVER! Regardless of the trials and tribulations you may be facing right now, I encourage you as I need to do to set your gaze upon the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible and REJOICE that He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings FOREVERMORE! “Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!” Psalm 105:3 “…Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”” Nehemiah 8:10 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 love & blessings, lara TODAY’S DAILY INSPIRATION ““The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” Mt. 6:22-23 “Get your eyes off ____ ,” the Spirit of Christ who lives inside His followers admonished me one day. Honestly, I can’t even remember what I was looking at. Only that the Lord made clear I needed to turn my focus away. He also said this. “Use your eyes to glorify me.” Friend, we are to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, on the Bible, and on whatever brings Him love, joy, pleasure, honor, praise, worship, and glory. If we find ourselves looking at something ungodly, or looking at something good in an ungodly way, we need to change our focus. Let us look upward to Jesus and then outward to whatever or whomever He desires. With the ultimate goal of glorifying Him! TODAY’S 365 BLESSINGS 365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book I recently wrote that will soon be available in print by the grace of the Lord for the glory of the Lord!  Blessing #183 “You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation.” Exodus 15:13 Two words and concepts stand out to me in this verse even though every word in God’s Word is so very important and precious. Lead. Guide. How lost we are in this world without the Lord! But Jesus the Great Shepherd, the Good Shepherd, the blessed Shepherd, He leads and guides His followers! His sheep! His children! Believers in Him! Those devoted to Him! Those whose lives belong to Him! We who follow Jesus are His sheep and are so infinitely blessed to be led day by day – and forever – by the Spirit of Christ, AMEN! TODAY’S THE CROSS DEVOTIONAL THE ULTIMATE GPS “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23 I can’t imagine life without a GPS or similar technology to help me with getting places especially given my poor sense of direction. I’m probably not alone in this. Having electronic help at our fingertips 24-7 to get where we’re going is a blessing beyond measure for those of us who use computers, phones, or car GPS systems to direct us, isn’t it? If the truth be told, some of us are more dependent on seeking our GPS and similar systems to go places physically than we are dependent on the Lord God almighty to direct us where He wants us to go – if we even look to Him at all! The Lord and the Bible should be our road map for living, and we should spend time alone with Jesus  and the Bible regularly for numerous reasons including to seek Him in prayer for His will and for His directions to go wherever He desires to lead us. Let us depend fully on Jesus, friend. And let us look to Him daily for directions. TODAY’S SERVING JESUS IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE ““You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”” Rev. 4:11 NKJV ” Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 KJV See the difference in the KJV version in the verse above? It says “for thy pleasure”. Is there a message in this for you? This world and we that are in it were created by the Lord to bring Him pleasure. And we were created to love, worship, glorify, experience, enjoy, and be in His fellowship forever which begins with turning from our sins and believing in and receiving Christ as Lord who died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead. I usually think of serving the Lord as it relates to loving and serving others and telling them about Jesus. But serving the Lord in our everyday lives most of all includes loving Him with all our hearts and bringing Him joy, pleasure, and glory. Are we? In all that we do? If not, we need to make a change! For the glory of Christ, YES! Are you living to glorify the Lord day in and day out? Oh, may it be so for us all!
