“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;” 1 Peter 3:15
I have never had more hope in my heart than I do now. If the truth be known, I was once for years on end totally hopeless. I didn’t have hope, and there was really no hope for me. I was that broken. Now my hope is rich, vibrant, beautiful, and ever growing. For the more I seek and pursue and chase after God and His Word and His will and His ways, striving to love and worship and serve Him every breath and step I take, my hope grows – and grows. My hope is not in me. It’s not in you. It’s not in this world. It’s not in my circumstances. My hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no greater hope in the world than the hope we can have in Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives. And that hope, my friend, is not to be hoarded to ourselves. It’s to be shared with the world around us. Yes, we are to spread the Gospel message, we are to spread the love of Jesus, and we are to spread the hope we all can have – through repentance and faith in Christ as forever Lord! Spread the Gospel, spread His love, and spread His hope! And don’t take hope for granted, my friend. Be thankful for the hope no matter how hopeless we once were we can have – in Christ who will reign forevermore, AMEN!
