A Familiar Voice

As I write this I have had COVID and now bronchitis for about 3.5 weeks. Instead of being outdoors in my favorite season summer on the streets of my beloved New York City doing along with writing what I was born to do streets ministry, I have been hit hard by COVID and spent most of my time in a New Jersey hotel room with Jesus and my beloved special needs ministry dogs.

A dear sister in Christ called me and essentially said, “I feel like God wanted me to call you. I feel like you needed to hear a familiar voice.” She told me Jesus loves me.

I started crying. I have had no family or friends nearby to help me. While God has carried me through this, it has been really, really, really hard.

One simple phone call. One familiar voice. A blessing beyond measure.

I encourage you with all my heart to take the love, time, and care to reach out to people when God leads you and show them the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Make the sacrifice. Show people His love.

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13 NKJV
