A Prayer and Humility Testimony

When I crossed paths with a man and woman who seemed very obviously to be immensely struggling, I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit of God to ask if they would like for me to pray for them.

The man made abundantly clear he did NOT want me to pray for them.

The woman made abundantly clear she DID want me to pray for them.

The man was so emphatically opposed to my praying that he refused to allow them to stop long enough for me to pray.

As they walked away from me, I called out to the woman that I would pray which I then went and did.

I did not know the people. I do not know their story. And this message is NOT about them. It is about us all.

In our pride, we may believe and/or say that we do not need God, that we do not have struggles, and that we do not need prayer.

We all need God. We all have struggles. We all need prayer.

In our humility, we acknowledge we do need God. That we do have struggles. And that we do need prayer.

Friend, be humble.

“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”” James 4:6 NKJV
