The Bible says: “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak (Mark 14:38 KJV)
When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, the devil walked away when Jesus used scriptures to garner victory. But guess what. The devil only left “for a season”. Will you be prepared the next time he returns?
The devil has come raging back into my life. I am being tested by God and tempted by the devil. I am almost reeling with the power of the devil’s storm, and humbled beyond description by the enormity of the testing. But I am also prepared.
Not only have I been watching and praying, but I have been immersing myself in the Bible to strengthen my inner being in preparation. God told me He was preparing me. I am prepared. But to assume the victory, I will need to watch, pray, study, take the tests, endure the temptation, and one day receive the crown when I garner the victory for which I will give all glory to God.
The devil picked an opportune time to return. I had just undergone a phenomenal transformation in my walk with the Lord. I was experiencing joy, peace, and strength in the Lord like never before. The devil likes to contest our growth. He is determined to kill, steal, and destroy.
Are you ready?
