A Wild Surprise About Worship

Know what I wrote the Lord one day? I told Him this: “So wild that worship feels so good and freeing and wonderful dear Father singing to you praising you adoring you with others and very much on my own it feels amazing how is it that we’re supposed to be blessing you and we get blessed in the process? Oh thank you God for the blessing and blessedness of praising and worshiping you!” Okay, please disregard the terrible grammar in my words to the Lord. I didn’t intend to share them but couldn’t help myself as I so wanted to share this beautiful blessing with you.

I have an amazingly beautiful, deeply intimate and passionate personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I am not simply totally devoted to the Lord outwardly in my actions as I strive to fulfill His will for my life. I am madly, passionately, indescribably in love with the Lord. And I absolutely love to tell Him how much I love Him, to spend time with Him, thank Him, adore Him, sing to Him, praise Him, serve Him, tell others about Him, and worship Him – “in spirit and in truth”. In the very core of my being. In the very deepest part of me, I love to worship the Lord. Worship to me is so exceedingly more than simply singing songs of praise to God. As someone told me long ago, worship should be a lifestyle. Our very way of life. This I truly believe.

What I never expected in all this, however, is that the more I worship the Lord, the more I pour out my heart to the Lord in love, praise, adoration, service, and thanksgiving, the more joyful, free, and filled with hope and passion I become. In the very process of striving to bless the Lord, I get blessed. Wow! Isn’t that something? Amazing, isn’t it? Oh, yes!

I want to encourage you with all my heart NOT to praise, worship, and bless the Lord in a self-seeking way whereby you are doing it to feel good and be blessed by God. I want to encourage you to love and worship the Lord with all your heart because He is worthy of all our praise, love, adoration, and worship 24-7 forever. And, in so doing, I believe you, too, will be blessed beyond imagination.

Oh, bless, bless, bless, praise, love, adore, and worship and glorify the Lord today, tomorrow, and forevermore, AMEN!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!” Psalms 103:1 NKJV

“But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!” Psalms 115:18 NKJV

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”” John 4:23-24 NKJV
