“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,
and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
Titus 2:13-14 KJV
Are you peculiar? You should be. You probably think you shouldn’t be. But God doesn’t want you to look, and sound, and talk, and walk, and live like the world around you. He wants you to look like Him.
As you study the Bible and apply it to your life as a follower of Jesus Christ, you will look peculiar to the world. You will look strange. You will look different. You will stand out from the crowd.
The world might criticize and judge you for this. The world might hate and reject and persecute you for this. But do not look to the world to be your mirror.
Look to your Father in heaven. And know that your beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Let your beholder be Him.
