Avoiding What God Called You to Do?

0

“You are trying to avoid what I called you to do,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke strongly to my heart.

I knew it was God. Why? Because it was true. He had made crystal clear for quite some time He was calling me to do something. And I was avoiding it.

Why? Fear. I would not be able to do it. I would fail. It would be yet another example of my not succeeding. In mine and the world’s eyes anyway.

Excuses aside, I was not stepping forward in faith. I was not putting my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and believing that through Jesus I could do what He wanted me to do.

Friend, are you trying to avoid something God has called you to do?

Please do not disobey God. I needed God’s strong voice to compel me to move forward by faith in obedience to Him.

Do you need to do the same?

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV
