Being Still Is NOT Enough

In this modern day in which the world is falling quickly apart, seems people are searching more than ever for any means whatsoever to get rid of stress and anxiety, to meditate and relax, to find ways to unwind, to quiet their minds, to calm down, to be still, etc. But simply being still whether physically and/or in our minds is NOT enough!

We need to BE STILL and place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to abide in the Lord, to rest in Him, to hope in Him, to focus on Him, to look to Him, to put our expectation in Him, to believe in Him, to love Him, to spend time with Him, to praise and worship Him, to commune with Him, to seek Him, to hear Him, to obey Him, to live for Him, to glorify Him, to fellowship with Him, to read and live by the Bible, to make Him our first love, our greatest priority, our number one!

Jesus Christ is Lord! He will reign forever and ever!

The world offers endless ways to try to BE STILL. But being still and quiet without surrendering ourselves to Jesus as Lord, without a personal relationship with Him, without meditating on Him and the Bible, without God as first in our hearts and lives will give us nothing more than a temporary break from the trials of this life.

We do not need just breaks here and there to BE STILL. We need to BE STILL – AND – LOOK TO JESUS!

Yielding ourselves to the lordship of Jesus Christ and learning day by day to focus on and follow Him, to know when we believe in Him as Lord He is with us 24-7, to find stillness in an intimate relationship with Him, to get away from everything and everyone for periods of time to be alone with Jesus, and to look forward to forever in heaven with Him where there will never be a trial nor tribulation not ever, this is how to find true stillness. To have true peace at the foundation of our lives. No matter what is going on in our lives and in this world.

Please note in the verses below the key is not the stillness. The key is THE LORD! Hallelujah, AMEN!

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah” Psalms 46:10-11 NKJV
