Called to Love

One day a sweet long-time friend called me with only one purpose. To know how she could pray for me in her quiet time with the Lord. She knew the challenges I was facing and took the love, time, and care to reach out. I want to remind you we live in a world filled with people who don’t have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and are headed for hell or who do have a forever relationship with Him but are in need of love, encouragement, prayer, care, compassion, mercy, help, care, and support.

I’ve been on the road for Jesus now for almost three years and have never in my life seen so many people consumed with themselves instead of loving the Lord with all their hearts and others as themselves. Sad to say even among Christians, I often see a lack of reverence for Jesus and lack of concern about others. Please remember the Lord’s greatest commands are to love Him with all our hearts and others as ourselves. Let’s obey Him and bring a breath of fresh air in an ever increasingly self-consumed world!

“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”” Matthew 22:37-40
