CARRY ME, LORD!

0

I haven’t written poetry regularly since I was a girl. In this trying time of unexpectedly losing my paralyzed ministry dog Mr. Simeon who was an instrumental part of my ministry for years as well as exceedingly bonded to me given his 100% dependence on me for everything and given his amazingly sweet God-given nature, and who was part of my little dog family on the road full-time for Jesus with me, I have been compelled to write some poetry & song(s). I could keep them between myself and the Lord, but it is my hope by sharing with you from the depths of my heart that the Lord might use my cries to Him to bless and love and comfort you as you face your own trials in this life. love & blessings, lara ………. this one is called CARRY ME, LORD!

CARRY ME
BECAUSE I’M NOT GOING
TO MAKE IT THROUGH WITHOUT YOU
YOU ARE THE ONLY WAY
I WILL CARRY ON –
I COULD QUIT IN A HEARBREAT
BUT YOUR HEART BEATS IN ME
YOUR SPIRIT IS STRONG WITHIN ME
REMINDING ME I
AM FORGIVEN FOR
ALL I DID WRONG
I BELONG TO YOU
AND HAVE A JOB TO DO
I AM YOURS
AND YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR ME
THIS LOSS IS TOO BIG
BUT YOU ARE BIGGER THAN IT ALL
I KNOW YOU WILL
SUSTAIN ME LORD
I CAST MY SORROW UPON YOU
OH LORD
HOLD ME TIGHTER
THAN YOU EVER HAVE
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIME
YOU GAVE ME WITH MY PRECIOUS […]
OH WHAT A BLESSING [….] WAS
LET ME NOT
DROWN IN MY TEARS
BUT USE THEM
TO DRAW ME CLOSER TO YOU
THAN EVER BEFORE
AND USE ME TO TELL
THIS WORLD ABOUT YOU OH LORD
IT’S NOT BEEN AN EASY LIFE
BUT I HAVE YOU THROUGH IT ALL
OH HOLD ME GOD
BECAUSE I WON’T MAKE IT
WITHOUT YOU
OH GOD HELP ME!
YOU ARE MY GOD, OH LORD!
YOU ARE MY LORD, OH GOD!
YOU ARE MY JESUS!
OH LORD, I CRY OUT,
I CRY OUT TO YOU!
ANSWER ME FROM HEAVEN
ANSWER ME IN MY HEART
MAKE YOUR LOVE REAL TO ME
COMFORT ME LIKE NOBODY CAN
BE WITH ME, DEAR FATHER,
BE WITH ME NOW,
OH GOD, BE NEAR,
BE NEAR, MY LORD!
I AM YOURS!
FOREVER AND EVER, YOURS, OH LORD!
TAKE MY TEARS AND REPLACE THEM
LORD WITH MORE OF YOU
I AM YOURS, YES, I AM YOURS!

CARRY ME, CARRY ME, CARRY ME, MY SWEET BLESSED FOREVER LORD

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22
