Clean Me Up, Clean Me Out, Send Me Out

3

Today, on my 43rd birthday, I have a very special birthday wish. In fact, it is a prayer. I have asked the Lord to clean me up, clean me out, and send me out. So many of us who love the Lord have asked Him to use us, but I wonder how many of us have allowed Him to clean us up and to clean us out in preparation. Since my move just weeks ago from Virginia to South Carolina, the Lord has put my life outside me on hold while He moved forward in His work to purify my heart, my mind, and my mouth. I have begged the Lord to make changes in my circumstances, and once again He has chosen to transform my life by renewing my mind with His Word. Most importantly, when my flesh longed to be sent out into the world to serve, the Lord called me instead to sit at the feet of Jesus. The Lord wanted to clean me up and to clean me out before He sends me out. He longs to love me as I sit at the feet of Jesus, feeding me His love and His Word that I have His provisions to distribute when He sends me out to feed a world in need with Him.
