It seems so easy and joyous and feels good and seems totally right and justified and appropriate and makes sense to praise God when all in our lives is well and good and comfortable and easy and according to our desires and likes and loves and plans and agendas and feels so good and makes us happy. And well we absolutely should praise the Lord in these times! But we should NOT stop praising God when –
When what? When life is hard, we feel yucky, challenges abound, trials and tribulations come, nothing seems to go our way, we face losses and troubles, times are hard, mountains seem un-climbable and valleys and deep waters seem un-crossable, we pray and pray and don’t get what we want, we lose what and whom we desperately desired and the issues we face keep piling up, etc.
Even in these times we should keep praising God. We should never stop praising Him. Because the Lord God almighty is deserving of praise, honor, and glory from all the world for all of eternity, oh yes He is!
No matter the season you and I find ourselves in now, no matter the circumstances of our lives, even if we are in a very trying season of our lives, the Lord makes clear in the Bible we are to praise Him – continually.
Sometimes I feel too weighed down, too upset, too devastated, too discouraged, too up against the impossible, too worn out from decades of seemingly relentless challenges, to thank and praise and worship the Lord. But God desires and is deserving of our praise – continually. No matter what we face in life.
Will you join me, friend, in learning to praise the Lord unconditionally? In thanking and praising and worshiping Him continually? Oh, may it be so!
May it be said of you and I and of us all that we who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are people of faith, people of love and obedience to God almighty, and people of joy, thanksgiving, praise, and worship of the Lord – continually!
I have a long, long way to go in this – but it is this I desire. May this be your desire also! Oh, let us praise the Lord AMEN!
