Did you know the longest Psalm in the Bible is about the Bible, God’s Word? When I read Psalm 119, I am so encouraged to fall more in love not only with God but with His Word! Did you know per the Bible God’s Word is Truth? Did you know Jesus is the Truth? Did you know Jesus is the “Word made flesh”? It all comes back to the Lord and the Bible, doesn’t it?
Honestly, for such a long time I was totally intimidated and overwhelmed by the Bible not to mention bored, confused, and turned off. My flesh just didn’t realize the utter beauty of the Bible – and that it is truly God’s road map for living. I wonder in America if many of us take the Bible for granted because we are so fortunate to have easy and affordable and even free access to Bibles whereas there are places around the world where people will be killed for saying the name Jesus, for proclaiming Him as Lord, and for having a Bible and believing in God’s Word.
How sorry I am for how I have taken for granted that I have 24-7 access to God through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to the Bible, and that even now as I write this message I have multiple print Bibles along with access to the Bible online and on my phone. Oh, let us be thankful, so very thankful, for God’s awesome, amazing, wonderful Word, oh yes!
