The Lord Jesus Christ tells us He is the “true vine”, God the Father is our “vinedresser”, and that the fruit we are called to bear to glorify God cannot be borne apart from Him! Do you deeply and dearly yearn and long in your love, passion, and zeal for the Lord to stand before Him when your life on this earth is over and hear Him call you His “good and faithful servant?” Oh, may it be so! Friend, did you know the GOODNESS and FAITHFULNESS you need cannot be produced apart from Jesus but are actually the fruit of the Spirit of Christ who lives inside His followers? I wonder how many of us as I myself have done believe we must muster up the goodness and faithfulness all of our own when in fact this is an impossibility?
Oh, how for years I strived in the flesh apart from the Lord to love and serve Him with all my heart and still do at times when I’m not careful when in truth the way we are to glorify God is to humble ourselves before Him and fully submit, yield, surrender ourselves to the Spirit of Christ living in and through us!
Friend, we are to deny self. We are to die to self. We are to say NO to the flesh and YES to Christ, fully devoting ourselves to Jesus living in us and Jesus living through us. We are to live a life of love, adoration, praise, worship, service, obedience, and glorifying God!
When we put our trust in Jesus day by day, moment by moment, and are filled with and follow His Spirit as He leads us forth, it is then that we bear fruit bountifully. It is then we glorify God through our fruit-bearing. It is then our fruit shows forth GOODNESS and FAITHFULNESS in our hearts and lives all for the glory of Christ, AMEN!
Turn from your sins! Believe Jesus Christ is Lord! Believe He died for you and was raised from the dead. Surrender yourself utterly to Christ as Lord. Commit yourself to God and His ways entirely. Be wholly His. His forever. Love, love, love and serve, serve, serve the Lord with all your heart forever and ever, AMEN!
Not apart from Christ. But in Christ. Through Christ. For Christ. Christ in you. Christ through you. Abiding in Jesus. Trusting in Him. Resting in Him. Yielding to Him. Loving Him. Glorifying the Lord. For the glory of Christ. Be His “good and faithful servant” this day and everlastingly and bear fruit bountifully for the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, almighty God, Jesus the Christ, amen, amen, glory be to the Lord, AMEN!
And be assured when the Lord is doing a pruning in your life and my life, when He has the pruning shears in His loving, blessed, almighty hands, when He is refining us and cutting out all that is ungodly, displeasing, useless, dishonoring, etc. to Him, as hard, uncomfortable, and even painful as this can be, the Lord is helping you and I to bear more fruit! All for the glory of God almighty, oh yes! So let us be thankful to the Lord! Let us be thankful for the fruit bearing! Let us be thankful for the pruning along the way. Most of all, let us be thankful FOR the Lord, hallelujah, oh yes! Amen, amen, and amen!
