I can’t believe it’s Friday already! Years ago, I looked forward to the weekend to not have to be in school or in later years to not have to go to work. Weekends were an escape to do whatever I pleased. Times have changed! I do my ministry work Monday through Saturday and rest and spend time with the Lord on Sundays for the Sabbath day. I don’t want to do whatever I please anymore. Nor do I want to escape from weekdays. Every day to me is an amazing opportunity to love and glorify the Lord and to tell the world about Him. I believe love, passion, and joy can be contagious. I hope the wonderful love, passion, and joy the Lord has given me is an influence and encouragement in your life to help you believe in and be totally devoted to Him day in and day out – and forevermore!

FLAUNTING YOUR FLESH
Long ago I “FLAUNTED MY FLESH” to attract attention and get what I wanted – love and acceptance from men. I was extremely focused on my outward appearance and could have cared less about my sin-ridden thoughts, words, and actions. My clothes, makeup, hair, attitude, and lifestyle were centered around self and my lust for love, acceptance, and a sense of significance. It wasn’t sexual relations with men I most longed for. I longed to be loved and to love and to be understood and cared about and to be validated and affirmed and to feel I mattered and that I had some sort of value, purpose, and significance which I did not feel I had.
I believed the perfect man was the answer and that “FLAUNTING MY FLESH” to lure men to me was the right and necessary method the perfect man and perfect relationship was found. I knew almost nothing about the Lord Jesus Christ, had no concept of sin, didn’t know I needed God’s forgiveness and the promise of everlasting life through faith in Christ as Lord, and had no clue we were created to love, worship, serve, obey, and glorify God forever. Not to love, serve, and worship self and to worship people we believed would fulfill our lusts.
I was as lost and broken as a woman can be and in my self-centeredness selfishly kept seeking “the answer” through “FLAUNTING MY FLESH”. I am now a totally devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ forgiven by God and set free from the way I was living and called by God to share this message with you now about “FLAUNTING YOUR FLESH.”
God’s greatest commands are to love Him with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. NOT to love and live for self but to love and live for Him.
FLAUNTING OUR FLESH with sexual immodesty to love and serve and bring pleasure and satisfaction to self and to lure and bait and tempt others to draw attention and get things for ourselves whether sexually or otherwise is SIN AGAINST GOD ALMIGHTY. And all sin needs to go. We must repent!
If you are engaged in FLAUNTING YOUR FLESH and dressing and acting immodestly and sexually with selfish motives for selfish gain, STOP and REPENT. Turn to God with true sorrow for your sins and seek and receive His forgiveness. Make any and all necessary changes. In obedience to Christ, AMEN!
AN AFTER NOTE. All these years later now, I came across a very conservative group of believers in Christ who hand make their own clothes. The women cover themselves from head to toe with long dresses and sometimes pants underneath for extra warmth. Their arms are well covered. The men are also very well covered. Several of them brought to my attention they didn’t approve of my attire.
As I care for handicapped ministry dogs, am out on the streets doing my ministry work, and become extremely hot between my walking, work with the dogs, and extreme summer heat, I dress in a way I believe I can best get done what I do without overheating. I make sure I am covered conservatively as a woman, but I do expose my arms and legs in such a way I can get enough air to be more comfortable and best able to do my work.
My motives before the Lord and others are pure. I have no intention of doing anything other than pressing on in the Lord’s work. I can’t speak for the Lord, but my sense from reading the Bible is the most important thing of all is that our hearts are pure before Him, that our motives are pleasing to Him, and that we do our best to seek and do His will. Please seek the Lord. Bring your heart before Him, purify yourself in any way needed to please and honor Him, and carry on! I trust the Lord to bring to your attention any changes He desires that you make. Seek and obey Him, friend!
God almighty, thank you for this exceedingly important message. You told me in my time alone with you that I needed to be bold in my writing. You have given me strength I don’t have without you. Please now take any and all bold messages you give me to share and bring them to the eyes, ears, and hearts of people near and far. Help them to see your truth in the messages. Help them to turn to you. Bring them to repentance if necessary and give them a deep, deep desire in their hearts to love and serve you with all their hearts, to love others as themselves, and to fully devote their lives to you now and forever and ever, yes, oh Lord, yes, AMEN!
“But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”” 1 Samuel 16:7
“in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10
“Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” 1 Cor. 6:18
“And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3
“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Cor. 7:1
ARE YOU READY FOR CHRIST?
If your life were to end this very day, are you ready? If Jesus took all of His followers on this earth to be with Him today which He will one day do, are you ready? If one way or the other, today you would stand before the Lord Jesus Christ, are you ready?
No matter what you believe, THE TRUTH is you will spend forever in torment in hell and the lake of fire apart from God with no opportunity to do your life over again OR you will be with the Lord forever in the new heavens and the new earth – what we typically call heaven – in everlasting blessedness and blissfulness face to face with God almighty in a place with perfect love, peace, joy, freedom, etc.
One or the other. Which will it be? And are you ready to stand before the Lord this very day? There are TWO TRUTHS you must know! Here they are.
One, the ONLY way to heaven is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Per the Bible, which is God’s truth, “you must be born again.” There is no other way. You must be born again spiritually by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Believe He is Lord, that He died on the cross to pay your sin penalty and was raised from the dead. Turn from your sins and from living for yourself according to the world’s ways to the Lord and His ways.
Second, HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE on this earth as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ will determine your experience in heaven. It will determine YOUR REWARDS in heaven – or the ones you will miss out on.
I have TWO QUESTIONS for you, friend.
Have you repented and received Jesus Christ as Lord whereby you are born again, forgiven by God, and promised eternal life, and received the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit?
Are you totally devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord whereby you are filled with and led by the Holy Spirit and read and live by the Bible and are yielding yourself to and being transformed by God as He prepares you for eternity with Him?
May this be true for us all! Surrender, surrender, surrender all to the Lord each and every day!
Jesus says in the Bible, “You must be born again.” But you must not stop there! Make absolutely certain the Lord and loving Him and living for Him and being filled with and led by His Holy Spirit according to His Word, that this is #1 in your life every breath that you take for the rest of your life! Amen!
Lord, please take this message and use it mightily in all of our hearts and lives, AMEN!
“Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”” John 3:3-8
“For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.” Matthew 16:27
“”And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” Revelation 22:12
I encourage you to search the Bible online or in a concordance for Bible verses concerning reward(s) given those who will spend eternity with the Lord. The greatest reward, of course, is the Lord Himself and being with Him forevermore!
THE ULTIMATE PRAYER
I have prayed so many big, big, big prayers over the years once I became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, but none is as big and significant as this one. It is the very one the Lord Himself teaches us in the Bible to pray.
“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” Jesus told His disciples as part of His response when they asked Him to teach them how to pray.
Know what it takes to pray this prayer with the right heart? With true sincerity? With genuineness?
True trust in the Lord. That He is Lord. That He is God. That He is all knowing. That He is all powerful. That He is sovereign. That He is almighty God. That Jesus Christ is Lord. That Jesus is God. That He always, always, always knows what is best. His will is always perfect. And so it is when we genuinely believe this that we can place our trust in Him and say with confidence, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
We should pray FOR His will, and we should pray ACCORDING to His will as He reveals it to us and as best we are able to discern what it is!
Try praying the prayer Jesus gave us, friend. With true trust in the Lord!
Lord, may your will be done now and forever and ever, AMEN! Teach us to trust in you, dear Father. Deepen our faith in you, dear God. Help us to pray according to your will. Thank you for answering our prayers according to your will. Your will be done, oh yes! AMEN!
“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
I LOST THE BATTLE
“I lost the battle,” I told the Lord one night none too happily.
“Yes, you did,” the Holy Spirit readily agreed.
“There are more to come,” He then said.
“You don’t have to lose the next one,” He finished.
I needed this reminder. Do you?
The devil had come hard at me that day with his usual arsenal of weapons aimed at wrecking my ministry work that day. I didn’t recognize him nor did I recognize the battle. Dangerous not to see your enemy nor to see you’re on the battlefield.
I finished off the day feeling defeated, deflated, exhausted, and down. The devil wants us to feel this way so we quit and don’t bother with the next battle. So he can shut us down as quickly as possible. So he can stop the work of God in and through us as much as possible.
I was battle weary and needed to rest in the Lord. I needed to get refreshed and ready for the battles ahead. Victory would come again. In Christ.
The Lord had encouraged me. Just as I desire to encourage you now. Lost a battle? Maybe even a bunch of them? Spend time with the Lord. Seek His presence. Seek Him in prayer. Open the Bible. Pour out your heart to God. Seek His forgiveness for anything you have done wrong. Seek wisdom from Him. Rest in Him. Trust in Him. Believe in Him. Get refreshed now. Get ready. For the war wages on. And, in Christ, through Christ, and for Christ, we who believe in and follow Him will ultimately have the victory!
Father, when we’re battle weary, restore, refresh, renew, and revive us please, dear Father! When we don’t see the enemy and forget we’re in a war, remind us. Give us wisdom, oh Lord, that we would win our battles. Forgive us for when we fall short on the battlefield, dear God. We need you, oh Lord. Each and every breath we take. On the battlefield and off the battlefield in our times of rest and refreshing. Oh, yes, we need you, oh Lord, we need you so very much! Strengthen us for the battles ahead, dear God. Amen!
“Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle—” Psalm 144:1
“But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” Psalm 3:3
“O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.” Psalm 140:7
STRENGTH FOR GOD’S WORK
When God gives us work to do for Him, He enables us to do it! Is there something the Lord has given you to do for Him and you wonder and maybe even worry and fear you can’t possibly do it?
In the verses below, God tells the people not to fear and to be strong because He is with them as they set forth to build His temple that had been destroyed.
Note in the book of Haggai the prophet from which the verses come that THE LORD has called them to this work. The people did not decide for themselves how they wanted to serve the Lord. THE LORD gave them the calling!
We are called as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to serve the Lord, but NOT according to how and in what we feel like serving Him based on OUR wishes, ways, and wants. We are called to serve Him according to His will and ways in His time for HIS GLORY.
When we act in obedience to the Lord in our service to Him, we can rest assured HE is with us and will enable us to do that to which He calls us to do!
Seek the Lord concerning how HE desires you to serve Him and TRUST HIM to enable and equip you to go forth!
Lord, thank you that you don’t send us out on our own in our human frailty to serve you, but that you are there with us and provide all we need to lovingly, humbly, and faithfully serve you! Amen!
“Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you, says the LORD.” So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,” Haggai 1:13-14
“Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says the LORD; ‘and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,’ says the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!” Haggai 2:4-5
