Please find FIVE MESSAGES below. May the Lord use them to an extreme to help and encourage you to love, serve, and glorify Him now and forevermore!
love & blessings,
God’s Gifts for God’s Glory
I love, love, love to write and have loved writing since I was a little girl! What a beautiful blessing from the Lord that I get to use the gift of writing He has given me to bring glory to His name! Are you using the gifts He has given you to love, serve, and glorify Him? Oh, please do!
Lord, years ago you led me to repentance regarding my work life because I was working for self not for you. I had used writing for years for the devil, myself, and the world not for you. Today, Lord, I am totally devoted to you – writing included. I wouldn’t have it any other way, and it brings me such joy to serve you dear Lord! Please God work in the hearts of my readers and bring them to this same place of total devotion to you, dear Lord! AMEN!
“I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.” Psalms 86:12
Don’t Leave Yet
Do not leave where God has sent you nor stop doing what God has called you to do until you are clear God has called you to do so.
Ministry is service to the Lord and others in His name, and all who call Jesus Lord are to serve Him as His Holy Spirit leads us and empowers us to do so.
We are not to serve according to our fleshly wishes, ways, wants, and will but according to His will and His timing for His glory.
Seek the Lord. Pray. Read the Bible. Ask for and receive and be filled with and led by His Holy Spirit. Wait on the Lord. Hear Him. Obey Him.
Don’t leave until His Spirit leads you forth.
In the verse below, Barnabas and Saul [the apostle Paul]left Jerusalem once they had “fulfilled” their ministry (service) there. Wait until God makes clear you have done the same. Then go where He sends you next. Always careful to follow Him not your flesh.
Father, compel your people to seek you, to wait on you, to hear you, and to obey you. Help us not leave where you send us nor stop doing what you have sent us to do until you say so. Teach your people to hear your voice! So many of your followers Father don’t study your Word and don’t seek you in prayer and fasting. So many are not sold out. I was there for so long, Lord, but you brought strong correction I desperately needed and led me to a place of total surrender. Give us all the love, mercy, grace, and strength to desire to do the same, oh Lord. There is always more surrendering to do, isn’t there, Father? Help us all to go deeper and deeper in our trust in and faith in and obedience to you, oh Lord. AMEN!
“And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.” Acts 12:25
Grow Me, Oh God!
“…“Make me into the woman you want me to be,” I wrote the Lord in prayer. “ Change me, grow me, refine me, purify me, conform me to yourself, oh how I need you Lord! Please finish what you started in me. You’ve done so much already, but I need so very much more. Oh help me, Lord! AMEN!”
When we turn from our sins, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, turning to God and His ways, we receive His forgiveness and the promise of everlasting life, His Holy Spirit comes to live inside us, and we are born again spiritually. The Lord wipes away all our sin and cleanses us and gives us a new beginning. And that is exactly what this is. A new beginning. For the rest of our lives on this earth, we learn to live according to God’s ways for Him instead of according to the world’s ways for self. We are to be led by the Spirit of God, to read the Bible and live by it, and our minds are renewed by His Spirit as we study the Bible and learn to apply it to our lives. The Lord calls us “a new creation”, we are to walk in the “newness of life”, and we undergo a lifelong transformation by God who prepares us for eternity with Him and uses us on this earth to love, serve, and glorify Him and to help build His Kingdom of followers.
I used to greatly resist and rebel against the Lord growing me in His image and conforming me to Himself, but at long last I have surrendered to this vitally important process and am so thankful to the Lord He didn’t leave me where I was nor does He leave me where I am. He is constantly changing and growing me and making me more like Himself and drawing me closer to Himself and using me more and more to bear fruit through me to bring Him joy, honor, and praise and to help others to find and follow Him just as He wants to do the same in us all.
Friend, have you surrendered yourself wholly to Jesus Christ as Lord? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit of God and led by Him? Do you yield yourself to the Lord daily? Do you study the Bible regularly? Are you submitted to the Lordship and sovereignty of Christ and His work in and through you? Or do you have some surrendering to do?
Let us surrender all to the Lord! Let us be totally devoted to Him and His ways! Let us be thankful that even though the refining and growing process comes with its pains and challenges as we must learn to die to self and live for Him, oh how beautiful it is to watch the Lord at work in and through us as He finishes the work He began in us and as we find ourselves closer and closer to the most wonderful beautiful sweet blessed loving powerful amazingly awesome blessing in the universe – THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! AMEN!
Lord, please Lord, grow us all! Don’t let us stay as we are! Cause us to be fully yielded to you, oh Lord! Conform us to yourself, oh God! Help us to be strong in you in the process! Remind us of your amazing love for us even in the times when the growth is so very hard, dear God! Your will be done, oh Lord, AMEN!
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Philippians 1:6
Hard Promises from God
I don’t know about you, but I think of promises as good, happy, wonderful things to look forward to, don’t you? Whether pertaining to the secular world or to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible, aren’t all promises supposed to be pleasant, pleasing, pleasurable, lovely, exciting, and thrillingly fulfilling? Honestly, in my years following Jesus so far, I can only recall hearing any discussion of promises as referring to things that are favorable and positive and worthy of great thanksgiving and praise. Oh, but did you know numerous promises in the Bible are not any of this? That they are anything but something to look forward to? There are truly hard promises in the Bible, friend, and they need to be seriously considered. But before you get too concerned, let me say this. God’s hard promises also come with an amazing blessing. They come with an escape plan. A way out. Intrigued? Curious? Let me explain. In fact, let me give you 3 examples
- God promises the end result of sin is death. In fact, go deeper in the Bible and discover the final stop of sin is forever in hell and the lake of fire in endless torment apart from God. Now that’s a promise. But, friend, there is an escape plan! All who turn from our sins, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, and in His death and resurrection, truly surrendering our lives to God and His ways, are promised His forgiveness and eternal life with Him!
- Jesus promises us that in our life on this earth we will definitely have tribulation. Trials, tribulations, struggles, and challenges are promised us in this life and are all the result of the sinfulness of mankind. But God provides a way out! Through repentance and faith in Him and our lives devoted to Jesus, we are promised the new heavens and the new earth where we will live forever with Jesus and where there will NEVER EVER be one ounce of struggle ever! And we are promised a forever relationship with Jesus right here on earth whereby we can receive utterly amazing love, peace, hope, joy, compassion, comfort, fellowship, direction, wisdom, and so much more from Jesus through an intimate relationship with Jesus!
- The Lord promises us anyone living a godly life on this earth, in other words living according to God’s righteous ways rather the world’s wicked ways, WILL FACE PERSECUTION. Now some will suffer it beyond human imagination such as being locked up in dungeons for proclaiming Christ and being tortured literally to death. Others will face it in indescribably small ways in comparison, but all those who are truly devoted to the Lord and His ways will face it to an extent. That’s a hard promise, isn’t it? But wait! There is an escape! In a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, Father, healer, master, redeemer, teacher, counselor, advocate, friend, leader, restorer, comforter, provider, helper, etc., we are promised a breathtakingly beautiful relationship with Him with countless spiritual blessings now and forevermore!
Oh, but for the beautiful, marvelous, magnificent, grace of the Lord God almighty! But for His grace! The Bible is filled with warnings against turning our backs against God and living in open rebellion toward Him, and the consequences promised us when we do so are unimaginably awful. But thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us and was raised from the dead, and to the Lord’s redemption plan to forgive those who repent and turn to Him and bring us into forever relationship with God, we have access to the Lord and His wondrous love and splendorous glory forevermore and all His phenomenal positive promises when we turn our lives over to Him and His lordship. AMEN!
Oh, Father, thank you for providing for us a way out of all the hard promises in your Word through the Lord Jesus Christ! For anyone reading this whose back is turned against you, draw them by your lovingkindness to your mercy seat, lead them to repentance, bring them through repentance and faith into forever relationship with you, teach them your ways, fill them with your Holy Spirit, and use them to bring glory to your name. For those of us already fully committed to you, Lord, give us by your Spirit the boldness, courage, and LOVE to tell others the Gospel message and to help people know and understand how to receive all the promises through you offered us thanks to your death and resurrection, dear Lord! Thank you, thank you Lord, AMEN!
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33
“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12
Watch out for fake faith. I have seen two kinds over the years, and there may well be more. When I was under the false teaching known as name it-claim it / prosperity gospel, I was taught we could essentially wave our magic wands at God and have anything we wanted if we had enough faith.
We were taught to never “confess” anything we didn’t want or we would end up with it. For example, if I said, “I am catching a cold,” I was told I would end up with a cold. I knew two women under that false teaching who literally died of cancer refusing in one case to speak of “cancer” and in both cases to speak of “dying” and “death”. They were taught like I was that if they “confessed” over and again they were “healed,” they would not die of the deadly disease they had.
It all boiled down to what we under that teaching were told had to do with our faith. If we had enough faith for whatever we wanted, whether or not it was God’s will, it was ours for the asking, or, rather, demanding God. Mind you, God can heal anyone He desires, and faith most assuredly per the Bible is crucial. But fake faith which is what I learned to muster up is meaningless. In fact, is it possible fake faith is an offense to the Lord? I can only imagine!
The other kind of fake faith I have witnessed is when brothers and sisters in the Lord speak to one another and tell each other they are not worrying about something even though they are. They want to look like “good Christians”, so they pretend to have stronger faith than they have if they have any at all concerning a matter. Isn’t this pride? Isn’t there possibly shame in this? And fear? Worry of what we will look like to fellow believers in the Lord? This is all sin, friend. We must repent!
Friend, I have fallen into fake faith in the past under false teaching and at times when I feared people’s reactions. But the longer I follow Jesus, the more time I spend in His presence, the more I study the Bible, I see not only how much the Lord calls us to a life of faith in Him. But also how much He calls us to a life of humility.
So instead of fake faith, let’s humble ourselves, not pretend we have faith we don’t have, increase our faith by continuing to follow the Lord and studying and hearing preached His Word, and learn to use the faith we do have to pray for God’s will in our lives rather than our own.
So long, fake faith. As far as faith in Jesus is concerned, let’s get real. Humble. And honest!
Dear Father, I had no intention of writing this message. But I am learning more and more to be surrendered to you. I could easily press the “delete” button on my computer and erase the whole message and figure it was just some random thing I wrote that doesn’t bear any significance and isn’t worth passing along. But Lord, I have a strong sense you led me to write this, that the message needs to be heard by your followers, and I pray you will use it to bring loving correction to those who need to hear it and help us to grow in your ways and to bring glory to your name day by day. Amen!
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
