““You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”” Rev. 4:11 NKJV
” Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 KJV
See the difference in the KJV version in the verse above? It says “for thy pleasure”. Is there a message in this for you?
This world and we that are in it were created by the Lord to bring Him pleasure. And we were created to love, worship, glorify, experience, enjoy, and be in His fellowship forever which begins with turning from our sins and believing in and receiving Christ as Lord who died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead.
I usually think of serving the Lord as it relates to loving and serving others and telling them about Jesus. But serving the Lord in our everyday lives most of all includes loving Him with all our hearts and bringing Him joy, pleasure, and glory.
Are we? In all that we do? If not, we need to make a change! For the glory of Christ, YES!
Are you living to glorify the Lord day in and day out? Oh, may it be so for us all!
