Goodbye Darkness

Are you walking in the dark? Stumbling and crashing into stuff? Wondering why you can’t get anywhere you’re trying to go? Finding yourself on the ground more than upright, metaphorically speaking? Why exactly are you walking in the dark? You don’t think you have fellowship with God in the dark, do you? Or with anyone else, right? Jesus doesn’t live in the dark. He is the light of the world.

Do you know what happens when you choose to come into the light, confessing your sins and learning to leave the darkness behind? Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, you will be forgiven and cleansed. Talk about seeing the light – and learning to walk in it.

Tired of the dark? Come into the light. Just imagine, the Lord God almighty wants you in His fellowship. pretty amazing, eh? What are you waiting for? Goodbye darkness.

So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 36While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” John 12:35-36 NASB

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:5-9 NASB
