I Didn’t Even Say Thank You

I prayed for something one day. Wasn’t a big thing in the grand scheme of things. But it was something I wanted, and I so hoped God would answer my prayer. Would you believe only several hours later did I realize God had answered my prayer? I had not for a moment acknowledged the beautiful blessing He gave me. I simply had gone on with my life ready inevitably to send zillions more prayers His way as I absolutely love to pray.

Now I needed to not merely acknowledge how blessedly He answered my prayer. I needed to thank Him! Like a spoiled little girl, I had simply told God what I had wanted, fully enjoyed His wonderful answer to my prayer, and marched on with my life.

This, friend, is NOT to be the way of God’s children. We are to be people of praise and worship, of adoration of God and ever thanksgiving. We are to thank and praise Him in our hearts, out of our mouths, to the Lord when we are alone with Him, and to proclaim Him and His goodness to others.

God deserves our love, praise, worship, and thanksgiving 24-7 forever, and it should be the desire of His children in our love for Him to bring Him love, praise, honor, pleasure, joy, worship, and glory each and every day and forever and ever, AMEN!

Oh, praise the Lord! Praise the Lord forevermore, AMEN! Hallelujah!

“So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.” Psalms 79:13 NKJV

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalms 100:4 NKJV
