Intercede or Intervene?

Facing a big decision regarding how to help someone in need? Or even a group of people? Is it a really tough situation? Hard to decide what to do? Really emotional about it? Feeling you absolutely must help? Should you intercede or intervene?

Interceding is essentially standing in the gap in prayer for others as you cry out to God to help them and you pray as His Holy Spirit leads you to pray.

Intervening per the Cambridge Dictionary online is “to intentionally become involved in a difficult situation in order to improve it or prevent it from getting worse:”

Should you do one or the other regarding the situation you face? Or both?

Cry out to God! Pray to God with all your heart for His will, for wisdom, for direction, for His timing, for anything and everything He wants to tell you. Read the Bible because this is the #1 way God speaks to us. And anything you believe God speaks to your heart or through others measure against the Bible because God always speaks in line with the Bible.

Then obey God. Trust the Lord to lead you according to His perfect will.

Intercede or intervene? Let the Lord Jesus Christ lead the way! Amen!

“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7 NKJV

“My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding,” Proverbs 5:1 NKJV
