“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Gal. 2:20
I have made many moves in my life. To all sorts of places. For all sorts of reasons. In all sorts of seasons of my life. With all sorts of intentions. With all sorts of dreams. Or none. With plenty of expectations. To run. Away. For one purpose. Or another. But never have I made a move as the one I am days away from making. A move for the Lord Jesus Christ. As a Christ follower, I have come to understand, accept, and rejoice in who I really am. His. His servant. For the one who died on the cross for me and rose again, who gave me His righteousness in place of my sin-infested life, who promises me eternity with God because of what He did on the cross and because I have repented and devoted my life to Him, because I believe in Him wholly, who is my Lord, King, Savior, redeemer, healer, greatest inspiration and desire, who feeds my hunger and answers my thirst, who restores me, refreshes me, revives me, comforts me, loves me, forgives me, and redeems me, who enables me to have a relationship with God forever I could not otherwise have because I am a human which means a sinner and God is perfectly holy and righteous and can’t be in the presence of sinners, and oh, this is but the beginning, it is for Christ I live, breathe, and move. He is my passion. My heart. My encouragement. The one because of whom God has come to dwell in me with His Spirit and by His Spirit through His Word transforms me and conforms me to Christ and leads me in His ways everlasting and leads me forth wherever He desires for the purpose of loving and worshiping Him forever and helping people to find and follow Him for eternity!
Who would be such a fool as to give away most of her possessions, to sell a comfortable house near the beach in a beautiful part of the country, grab my Bibles, ship a few boxes including printing equipment for the Gospel tracts and devotionals I write, to pack up a Honda Element with about 240,000 miles with six special needs and senior dogs, to cram stuff into a donated luggage rack and put a paralyzed dog’s wheelchair on a bike rack, and drive 9.5 hours northbound to make the first stop of the rest of my life on a barebones budget with the purpose of loving and serving God forever and telling the world about the Lord Jesus Christ? Such a fool as I, crazy for Christ. Please be patient with me in the coming days, weeks, and months as I make the big move. I will write my Daily Inspiration and distribute tracts, devotionals, and books, and minister to people as the Spirit of God leads as I move forth. Love, encouragement, prayers, and donations would be exceedingly appreciate!
