Dear friend, ……….

When I was growing up, my beloved Mom told me the best way to make a decision is to write out a list of pros and cons. Probably many people would quickly agree. After all, shouldn’t we figure out why we should and shouldn’t do something in order to know how to proceed? There may well be good reason to examine both sides of a decision, but the very best way to make one doesn’t have to do with a piece of paper, a pen, a good mind, and writing it all down. It has to do with the Lord! ………….

The Lord God almighty created us to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and to live for Jesus Christ as Lord and to look to Jesus Christ as Lord and to the Bible when we make decisions so that we live our lives in love for and obedience to Him!

Friend, if you’re facing a decision, turn from your sins, put your trust in Christ as Lord who died to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead, genuinely devote your life to God and His ways, pray to God about the decision, read the Bible, listen for the voice of the Spirit of God who lives inside His followers and speaks to our hearts in line with the Bible, seek counsel from Christ followers who are solidly grounded in the Bible, wait on God, and obey Him when He lets you know how He wants you to proceed.

The best and right way to make a decision is to seek and do God’s will – paper, pen, and pros and cons list or not. With our hearts open to hearing from and following God in all matters.

love & blessings,

“My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.” Proverbs 2;1-9
