Dear friend, ……….
This world right now is a mess, but how easy it is to point the finger at one thing or another, at one person or another, even at one nation or another. But here’s my question. What about you, and what about me? ……..
Instead of pointing the finger and judging and condemning others, I believe we need to look at ourselves and ask ourselves three key questions.
1. Have we turned from our sins, put our faith in Christ as Lord who died on the cross to pay our sin penalty, truly turning our hearts and lives over to God and His ways whereby we are living our lives above all else to love and glorify God according to His ways and to help others to find and forever follow the Lord Jesus Christ? Simply, are WE living for the Lord Jesus Christ day in and day out?
2. Are we praying for others whether it be individuals, families, communities, nations, schools, world leaders, church pastors, absolutely whomever the Lord places on our hearts to pray for whenever He desires we pray for them?
3. Are we living to love, honor, and please the Lord with a desire for holiness and righteousness no matter how anyone else is choosing to live whereby we are both examples to the world of how the Lord calls us to live AND whereby we are helping every person God desires we help to be faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ? And, in so doing, are we LOVING AND SERVING Christ and others in His name?
Do you see the common denominator in these three key questions? We are NOT responsible for others’ wrongs, but we ARE responsible for following Jesus, for modeling Jesus, and for helping others to love and follow Him forevermore!
Let’s quit pointing fingers, and let’s focus on doing right in Christ’s eyes and helping the world to do the same!
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Mt. 28:19-20
“Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Luke 10:2
