“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1……..
Serving Jesus is all about the Lord, the Lord’s will, the Lord’s timing, the Lord’s provision, the Lord’s plan, the Lord’s purpose, and the Lord’s glory. It’s not about us. It’s about Him. So it shouldn’t be surprising there is a time to serve Him when it comes to people to whom He leads us, and there is a time to let go and move on. The timing isn’t about our comfort, but about the leading of the Spirit of God………..
We need to be so desirous to love, honor, and please the Lord in serving Him, and so in tune with His voice by spending time with Him and reading His Word, and so sensitive to His leading, and so willing to follow Him, that we continually seek, hear, and obey Him.
The Lord has led me into the lives of some people to minister to them for mere minutes. Other times, He has led me into their lives for years. Still other times, He has led me in and out of people’s lives.
Jesus Himself knew how long to spend with the people to whom He ministered because He communed with His Father in heaven and was utterly devoted to hearing from and obeying Him in all things including in the time He spent loving and serving those to whom the Father led Him.
Let our service to Jesus be surrendered to Him that we might serve in our love for Him and rejoice in how He is glorified in the process!
