Laundry Room Testimony

0

I met a foreign couple in the laundry room of one of my hotels on the road for Jesus who spoke very little English and could not figure out the money, machines, and soap. Instead of rushing off to continue what had begun as a very busy day, I took the time to walk them to the office a good distance away for soap, elsewhere for coins, then all the way back to the laundry room to walk them through the process and explain about the dryers. I said the name Jesus, gave them my The Greatest Love Ever Gospel tract whereby even with limited English they could learn about Jesus, and we parted ways.

How often are we so consumed with ourselves and our plans for the day that we miss opportunities God gives us to love and help people in His name?

I used to be so self-centered I missed countless opportunities because I lived for self not for the Lord Jesus Christ and others. God has changed me, now I live for Him and others, and I never want to miss an opportunity He gives me no matter how seemingly big nor how seemingly small.

Please don’t miss the opportunities God gives you to obey His two greatest commands to love Him with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.

“Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”” Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV

“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 NKJV
