Missing Humility

0

You and I can SAY and DO everything in our words and actions that is pleasing to God but grieve His heart and dishonor and displease and disobey Him and be in outright rebellion against Him because of one missing vitally important ingredient. HUMILITY.

When we exalt ourselves in PRIDE instead of HUMBLING ourselves and exalting the Lord, we are outright SINNING AGAINST GOD and MUST REPENT!

We can have tons of faith and love, praise and worship Him to no end, love others and do good deeds day and night, tell the whole world about Jesus, pray all the time, read our Bibles and have a perfect attendance at church and Bible study, give to the poor and help widows and foster orphans, seek and do the will of the Lord daily, go on missions trips, bake brownies for church picnics, help the homeless, memorize Bible verses, tell the whole wide world we LOVE Jesus – AND BE BLATANTLY SINNING AGAINST GOD! BECAUSE OF OUR HEARTS! BECAUSE WE ARE NOT HUMBLE! BECAUSE WE ARE MISSING HUMILITY! BECAUSE WE ARE PROUD!

Pride is despicable to God. And when we have it, WE MUST REPENT! WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE GOD ALMIGHTY and REPENT each and every time pride for even a moment rears its despicably ugly head in our hearts, minds, mouths, and actions!

I beg you with all my heart to make a conscious, whole-hearted effort each and every day of your life going forward to get rid of every single ounce of pride and to dedicate yourself wholly to the Lord God almighty and to ever humbling yourself before Him!

May the Lord use these verses that follow to encourage you to be humble in His eyes this day and forevermore, AMEN!

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10

“…The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.” Psalm 101:5

“The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.” Isaiah 2:11
