One day I heard a loud crash on the pavement when getting paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy’s wheelchair out of the back of the car to take her and ministry dog Gracie to the beach. Miss Mercy loves the beach so much she had tried to get out on her own and fallen to the ground with her back legs unable to protect her. Thank God she had no pain due to being paralyzed, but one leg looks dislocated and reminds me of a “broken wing”. Despite being paralyzed for over 11 years, having other major challenges along the way, and having her “broken wing”, Miss Mercy never lets anything stop her from living and enjoying her God-given life to the maximum – with LOVE, JOY and THANKFULNESS.
We all have our “broken wings” in life i.e. challenges along the way, but unlike Miss Mercy I believe sometimes we allow our “broken wings” to stop us from living and enjoying our God-given lives to the fullest – with LOVE, JOY, and THANKFULNESS to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let’s not let our “broken wings” stop us from this!
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15 NKJV
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” Psalms 150:6 NKJV
