My Hilarious Yogurt Testimony

This testimony  is not merely to make you laugh. It comes with an important message believe it or not.

Now those who know me well know I am exceedingly serious when it comes to the Lord Jesus Christ and that my life and ministry are unbelievably intense. Some might find it hard to imagine in the midst of a very tough life and an exceedingly challenging ministry calling that I have my times of extreme laughter.

Like a little while ago when not for the first time I lost my grip on something for no apparent reason. Unfortunately it was a yogurt container. In less than a minute, plain yogurt went flying and literally landed with no exaggeration on my hotel room floor, my shirt, my shorts, my bed comforter, a box, and on the back of paralyzed ministry dog Miss Mercy and on top of special needs ministry dog Grace. Additionally, there were so many dollops and splashes all over the floor that I desperately did not want Miss Mercy to move even an inch for fear in her paralyzed state she would scoot all the way through the yogurt.

Normally I scold myself for my foolishness and clumsiness, but this time I laughed and laughed and laughed. What an enormous relief it was to not be so serious for just a few minutes as I went on my cleaning rampage.

If you saw the brokenness and devastation and suffering and ugliness and desperation I witness on an ongoing basis in my ministry work coupled with a super challenging life and a heart that grieves over the state of this world and my indescribable passion and zeal to tell this world about the Lord Jesus Christ and see people become totally devoted Jesus followers, you would understand why most of the time my life is so intense, tears come and go, and my heart hurts and grieves over it all.

But then come moments of laughter. And herein lies the message.

Nothing in this life is more serious and important than the Lord Jesus Christ and than believing in and following Him and loving others and telling people about Him and helping a world in need in His name.

Yet despite the exceeding seriousness of it all, it is also important to step back at times and rest and breathe and get refreshed and to rejoice in Jesus and a relationship with Him and to enjoy His fellowship – and to smile and laugh.

Hope this message made you smile – and laugh! Amen!

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;” Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 NKJV
