Never So Hungry for God

Have you ever been so hungry that you know nothing will ever fill you up? I am hungrier for the Lord than I have ever been in my life. I know the Lord will not only satiate me, but He will continue to meet my hunger for Him no matter how great my hunger becomes. After all, He has made this promise.

Mat 5:6 KJV “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

How do I fill myself with the Lord? I pray to Him, I spend time with Him, I think about Him, I listen to Him, I feast on His Word and learn to apply it to my life, I go to church and listen to my pastor preach about Him, I fellowship with Christ’s Body, I ask the Lord for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, I dance with Him in my heart, I worship Him in my thoughts, I talk about Him, I give to others to show my love for Him and His Creation, and I breathe Him in – over and again, and again.

I have never known a hunger like this, not for anything or anyone. And I have never known a satisfaction like this. A pure, holy satisfaction. And then, once I am full once more, I find myself hungry once again – for Him. And there He stands, waiting, waiting, waiting to fill me all over again.
