Recognizing God’s Love

I used to have an enormously hard time believing God’s love for me. I was consumed with my life’s struggles and the emotions of it all instead of being focused on God and the Bible and His love, goodness, greatness, grace, healing, tenderness, mercy, compassion, care, sovereignty, power, strength, wisdom, direction, lordship, kindness, hope, joy, forgiveness, provision, fellowship, companionship, wisdom, plans and purpose for me, peace, and on and His love and blessings go.

The greatest blessing in the universe is the Lord Himself and His love and salvation and forever fellowship with Him He gives us through repentance, faith in, and our lives being devoted to Him, and then His blessings continue on seemingly endlessly from this starting place. Oh, how He bestows such unfathomable love upon His blessed children. But I didn’t recognize, acknowledge, and have a heart filled with thanksgiving to Him for his love and goodness because I stared at my struggles instead of beholding the Lord!

Friend, please do not do as I did. Behold the Lord! Read the Bible! Believe, recognize, receive, and praise Him for His love and the countless blessings He bestows upon those who turn from our sins, believe Jesus is Lord and died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead, and truly turn to God and His ways. Receive Jesus Christ as Lord! Believe His love! Receive His love! Receive His blessings! And praise, praise, praise the Lord! Yes, praise the Lord! Life still has its trials and tribulations (John 16:33), but let us focus on the Lord and His love and say, praise the Lord, oh, praise the Lord!

Dear precious FATHER, THANK YOU beyond description for your amazing, amazing, amazing LOVE. Help my dear readers please to believe and receive your love and blessings for them beginning with repenting and receiving you as Lord! Teach us all to focus not on the challenges of this life but on you and your awesomeness! Oh, dear Father, your love is so unfathomable. Let us not hold it back from ourselves. Let us not neglect to recognize it. Oh, Lord, help us to receive it and to live in the fullness of it remembering to love you in return and to love others as ourselves and to praise you, to praise you, yes, Lord. AMEN!

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!…” 1 John 3:1

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
