Below you will find scriptures making abundantly clear seven abominations in God’s eyes.
This is a call to repentance. If you are engaging in any of these abominations or any sin at all from which you have not repented, now is the time to humble yourself before God almighty, seek His forgiveness, and turn utterly to Him and His ways.
This is a warning. Do not do what is an abomination to the Lord. His Word is His will, and in His Word we find what is sin against God.
It is time to turn away from the sins that have held you in captivity and to turn entirely to the Lord. Humble yourself and turn from any and all wickedness in your life. Anything in your thoughts, words, and actions that dishonors the Lord, turn away from it.
This message is for me as much as it is for you as much as it is for all of us. It is time to turn utterly to the Lord. And, should we stumble and fall along the way, as we are humans and as Christ’s followers are being transformed by the Spirit of Christ day by day, may we run to the mercy seat of the Lord once more with true godly sorrow and repent and turn, turn, turn, yes, turn with complete abandon to the Lord God almighty in Christ, AMEN!
Lord God help us all! Oh, we need your mercy! Forgive us, forgive us, Lord forgive us! For any of these abominations we are committing, and for any and all sin. Help us to be free from the sins we need to be free from. Liberate us from the bondage in which we have found ourselves entrapped. Help us to walk in the freedom you died on the cross and rose from the dead for us to have. Help us to be pleasing to you in all things, oh Lord! Oh, how we need you! Have mercy upon us all, oh Lord, AMEN!
“These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19
