Stop Questioning God

If you are totally clear the Lord has told you to do something, if you have made sure what you believe you have heard lines up with the Bible because the Lord will never speak against His own Word, if you have sought godly counsel from strong followers of Christ if and as the Lord has led you, yet you find that you have been questioning God rather than moving forward and obeying Him, I have a message for you. STOP QUESTIONING GOD.

“Stop questioning me,” the Holy Spirit strongly told me.

I knew what the Lord had told me to do. He had used a friend to give me a message concerning a ministry matter. I felt I had already sacrificed so very much for the Lord in my exceeding love for Him, but now He was calling me to sacrifice even more! Sadly and wrongfully, instead of lovingly, humbly, simply and immediately submitting to the Lord, I resisted Him and questioned Him.

Lovingly, mercifully, albeit sternly and firmly as was necessary, He led me to repentance and gave me this message. Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, His followers, yes, are to DENY OURSELVES, to PICK UP OUR CROSSES, and TO FOLLOW HIM. We are to submit to Christ’s lordship and obey Him without debating, arguing, resisting, questioning, or rebelling.

I believe the Holy Spirit placed this on my heart to share with you:

“Obey me. Don’t question me. If you need clarity, that is one thing. But to question me because you don’t like what I have told you to do or because you think you have a better plan, this is wrong. Submit to me.”

End of conversation.

Father God, please continue to transform me as I know full well my flesh is still acting up at times when I know as you have showed me over and again that I am to humble myself before you and NOT resist you and NOT rebel against you. Thank you for your love and mercy and for not giving up on me as you continue to change me. Lord, for anyone reading this who also is resisting you or rebelling against you, I pray in Jesus’ you would humble them and teach them to walk according to your ways. The way of love. The way of humility. The way of submission to you. The way of obedience to you. The way of denying self, taking up our crosses, and following you wherever you lead us. Help us, oh Lord. THANK YOU! AMEN!

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
