Along came another enormous wave of desperately desiring getting something I really wanted to get. I could feel a huge excitement and imagine how incredibly satisfied I would feel once I got what I wanted. Then the Holy Spirit stepped in.
“The answer is NO,” the Spirit of God spoke emphatically to my heart.
For years, I called myself a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ but acted like a little lord over my life.
I picked and chose what I wanted to do and get regardless of what God had to say. If He said no, I pretended I didn’t hear Him or came up with excuses and went ahead with what I wanted anyway.
Not anymore. I get it now. Jesus Christ is Lord. He is God. I am not.
What God says goes. When He says NO, that is the end of it.
Friend, we are to believe in Jesus. To follow Jesus. To obey Jesus. To live for Jesus.
If God is telling you NO, please humble yourself and OBEY THE LORD. Amen!
“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 NKJV
“Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:1-2 NKJV
