The Man With a HUG

I felt ready to explode with emotional pain and sorrow and sobs as I hurried into an elevator one day when I realized I was not alone. In the elevator with me was a kind senior man I had recently met who is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. When he spoke, I responded with a brief explanation of what had transpired and why I was so incredibly upset.

I don’t remember a single word he said. He did not pray for me. He simply opened wide his arms and gave me a great big hug from heaven. From heaven? With all my heart, I believe God sent that man to share with me the love and comfort of Jesus at a time I was in desperate need.

Friend, I believe if we would open wide our hearts, eyes, and ears, we would see on a daily basis how desperately in need this world is – and the countless ways I believe God wants to use us to spread His love, grace, mercy, peace, joy, comfort, kindness, goodness, generosity, etc.

Day and night, I try to be ever ready to share the Gospel of Jesus, to pray for someone, to encourage people, to offer help and support, to bring comfort and inspiration, to give a hug, to do absolutely anything the Lord desires as He pours out His love and endless blessings through those who believe in Him to any and all in need!

Please surrender yourself humbly and wholly to the Lord and be a vessel of His love and anything and everything He desires to pour through you – hugs and all else! Amen!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” John 13:34 NKJV
