Because after a very long day, and after some challenging weeks past, I was just about to call it a day when I remembered how a young woman walked through the parking lot where my car was being fixed this morning. Without my glasses on, I could see her back and nothing more than a bunch of words and the little scripture reference. I called out to the woman and got her attention, asking her if in fact there was a verse on her t-shirt. I told her maybe the scripture was for me.
Then, I forgot completely about it. Until just a few minutes ago. I’ve been pretty down lately, given some challenging stuff, and I wasn’t even sure I wanted to muster up the energy to look up the scripture. But I did. And God used the woman’s t-shirt to give me exactly what I needed.
A loving reminder that I need to continue to do His work, and that I must not be moved by the circumstances, challenges, situations, etc. in my life. Enough said. The Lord, my provider, used a t-shirt to say exactly what I needed to remember that I am here on this earth for Him. And, that no matter what people do to me, He is why I carry on. For HIS glory!
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
