We who believe in and follow Jesus Christ as Lord can be so busy in our everyday lives that we miss the invitation, the calling, and the beckoning of Jesus to come away from our busyness and come to Him. To come away with Him. To come spend time with Him. To come spend time at His feet. To come spend time in His glorious presence. We may be too busy to hear Him at all, or we may choose our busyness over His call and neglect to answer Him and to come to Him. Can you relate?
Should our number one priority in life not be to love and serve the Lord with all our hearts which is His greatest command? And in so doing should we not come away with Him daily at least once if not a number of times, if not throughout the day and night, however He might lead us, to draw away from the cares of this life and to draw near to Him? To spend dedicated alone time with the Lord praising and worshiping Him, singing to Him, casting our cares upon Him, pouring out our hearts to Him, praying to Him, seeking Him, listening to Him speak to us in the Bible, hearing Him speak to us by His Spirit who lives inside His followers who always speaks in line with the Bible, experiencing His presence, enjoying His blessed precious fellowship? Oh, yes, it should be so!
Please read these verses before continuing on with the message!
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…” James 4:8
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” Psalms 62:8
He is to be our first love (Revelation 2:4), our highest priority, our greatest desire, the love of our lives, our Lord, King, Savior, master, Father, healer, redeemer, teacher, counselor, comforter, helper, and so very much more.
There is no greater blessedness on this earth than to belong to the Lord forever through faith in Him and our lives devoted to Him and coming away and spending time in His almighty awesome presence.
Come away each and every day, friend, come away, oh yes, with the Lord!
Can you imagine being as close to Jesus as this? And being loved by Him this way?
“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.”
Come away with the Lord, draw near to the Lord, run to the Lord, be with the Lord, oh please, please yes! Amen!
