UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST

0

I have now been in New York City, my third stop out on the road full-time for the Lord and ministry, for just under three months. I am blown away by the numbers and variety of people the Lord is leading me to as I go out onto the streets with and without my sweet special needs & senior rescued dogs, my heart filled with God’s Spirit and Word, and my fanny pack always filled with Gospel tracts. I having one beautiful and powerful experience after another meeting people and talking to them about Jesus and/or giving them tracts. Sometimes my heart is broken over their hard and tragic stories. Other times I rejoice over how the Lord uses me to bless them. Sometimes I am deeply saddened over people’s refusal to receive Jesus as Lord. More than anything, I am humbled and thankful to the Lord He continues to use me to sow seeds of Christ in their lives.

I am also really excited to share the Lord is leading me to begin writing and publishing a series of Gospel tracts to be ordered and distributed by any individuals, churches, ministries, groups, institutions, etc., led to use them to spread the Gospel message. Unlike my Finding the Light Gospel tract which is an actual booklet and includes my personal story, these will be short, to the point, simple & straightforward, and easily usable by anyone led to share the Gospel.

Another praise report. The Lord has just opened the door to a maximum security women’s prison whereby I have sent a sample pack of tracts and devotionals with the hope the institution will join the list of prisons and jails and homeless shelters receiving my Faithful Magazine and tracts to distribute to inmates. By God’s grace, I now have two beloved friends based out of Loudoun County, VA, helping with putting the publications together and sending them out. I also have a print shop at a church helping and the head of the print shop mentoring me as the ministry grows in publishing. Even with this help, we are currently barely keeping up with the growth & very much in need of prayer, financial support, and people help.

And yet another praise. The Lord led me to a group of street preachers, and I have gone out with them once as they preached in a well known New York City location followed by a Bible study in a deli-style location. I am planning God willing to go out with them again. What a blessing to be out on the streets with people with hearts like mine for sharing the Gospel!

People worldwide are continuing to read Daily Inspiration, and I periodically am blessed to receive contact from people in different countries as well as around the US.

Regarding my sweet doggies, Abigail and Dancer, both about 14, are truly showing their age now. I am concerned about Abigail and not sure how much longer she will be with me. It’s hard to watch them get to these ages, but I am so thankful for the time God has given me with them. He is very much using each and every one of them when I walk them as New York City is filled with dog lovers and I have endless opportunities to talk to people about Him and give out tracts when they come up to me to greet the dogs. Gracie who is Abigail’s buddy and walks with her is pretty overwhelmed by the sounds in the city as she has always been very shy out in public given she was dumped at a gas station and hit by two cars on the same day. But she looks up to Abigail and is okay with me and Abigail there with her. Wheelchair doggies Mr. Simeon and Miss Mercy are getting more attention than ever, and absolutely love their walks through the park where they are constantly stopped and often photographed. Mr. Simeon has taken up “preaching”. He’s always “talked” – not barked – and has a habit now of talking non-stop as soon as I stop walking & very obviously when I start ministering to people. Go figure! Someone I believe rightly called them my “ministry dogs”.

I am excited and blessed beyond measure to be in New York City serving the Lord in this way. I have my times of feeling homesick, down, discouraged, exhausted, etc., but always come back to that place inside me filled with the joy of the Lord, His peace, His love, hope, Truth, and the realization that through Jesus I am promised an everlasting relationship with God almighty. My personal struggles through the years, though certainly not at the level they used to be, do remain, and it can be challenging to be on the road on my own with Jesus & the dogs, to have had such long-time challenges, and to deal with the wildness of New York City and the intensity of ministering to people on the streets. Sometimes I truly am weary from it all, but oh the joy of loving and serving Jesus forever! I can honestly say it’s all worthwhile for one simple reason.

I love the Lord more than anything and anyone, am totally sold out to Him, and second to my forever relationship with Him, there is nothing more important and exciting and joyful to me in the universe than to tell people about Him and help them to forever follow Him!!!

I am undoubtedly one blessed woman for which I give the Lord ALL THE GLORY!
