Among the 18 very special Walk by Faith Ministry doggies in my care, one very close to my heart is in need of prayer & donations.
Joshua, flown by private plane to the ministry some time ago after being left in a shelter at over 10 years old with a massive tumor and multiple other ones, yesterday morning took a downhill turn.
I rushed him off to an emergency vet visit, which ended in his being kept there on an IV, monitoring, medication, etc. I was up with him on and off through the night, and my heart melts to see him hurting so much without being able to tell anyone what hurts!

He is about 12 years old now, and is coughing, has some labored breathing, is very weak, was very dehydrated yesterday, and is having incredible trouble walking. In fact, this morning I had to turn his back foot under itself so he could stand upright. He could not go to the bathroom because he could not move and figure out what to do, until he finally gave up and somehow managed to walk like an old man the few feet to go back inside – where he resides in my bedroom on a nice big dog bed.
He has pretty much collapsed to the ground twice in the past 24 hours, whether from weakness, pain, etc – we don’t quite know.
Despite testing, which will continue today, the diagnosis and answer are truly in God’s hands – as well as how long he will remain here on earth.

As I juggle caring for Mercy the paralyzed dog who has special needs, the other special needs dogs (blind, disabled, etc.), and the healthy, adoptable ones needing safe & loving homes ASAP, I am blessed to say that the LOVE OF MY LIFE remains first in my life. He is the one that created me, that carries me, that loves me forever, and that is here for all of us here who call on His name.
Thank you Jesus for being my Lord. Precious Lord, please continue to prepare and equip me to do the work you have called me to do for your glory – from taking care of these beloved doggies to writing to praying for people, to sharing your Word, to whatever you desire. I love you with all of my heart!
