Waiting on the Lord

God sandwiched me tonight in between two phenomenally precious sisters in the Lord with a strong command and confirmation through both of them in two separate long-distance telephone calls that He is calling me into a period of waiting on Him – of resting physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and of waiting. The word “waiting” in the Bible in the context of the scripture below does not merely mean to wait. It also means among other things to bind together with, and to expect. So I enter into this waiting period with a tired mind and body, with a wide open heart, and with a firm, deliberate, conviction and commitment to hold on for dear life to Him as I wait for Him to speak. My heart is ready for rest, and my ears are open to listen. Jesus offers me His yoke, and I gladly, gratefully, take a hold of it. I release the burdens I have carried unto the Lord, and I sit down at His feet. Thankful that my only job right now is to love the Lord, to wait, to listen, to rest, and to obey.

“Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40;31 NASB

I will resume my almost daily inspiration writing when the Lord leads………In the meantime, perhaps you might want to ask yourself this question. Is it time for you, too, to wait upon the Lord, to seek His face, and to listen and obey?
