When God Sends You Somewhere

I could not for the life of me understand why the Holy Spirit of God made ultra clear He wanted me to go to a particular beach to take a walk with Him when I always went to the closer one with which I was more familiar. Why go the extra distance? Why not just pick where I wanted to go? I felt so strongly led, however, that I yielded and chose God’s destination not mine.

Toward the end of a wonderful walk in the gloriously hot sunshine, I knew the Holy Spirit wanted me to leave the beach and finish my walk on the sidewalk. But I really wanted to stay on the beach and enjoy every minute of my time there. Again, I yielded to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Within minutes, the Lord opened wide the door for me to speak to a man with whom I crossed paths. A man I would not have met if I had not gone to that beach and left the beach when and where the Lord led me.

The man was a believer in Jesus in great need of prayer and encouragement concerning an extremely important matter. I had the pleasure and privilege of offering some encouragement and praying my heart out. Then I strongly sensed God wanted me to walk quickly away so the man could spend time with Jesus.

I wonder how many times in our lives we miss opportunities to share the love of Jesus with people because we go our own way instead of where the Lord desires to send us.

Surrender yourself to Jesus, friend. And be willing to go wherever the Lord sends you to do as He desires.

Let us not miss our opportunities to tell this world about Jesus and to share His love far and wide!

Be inspired reading these verses about the beautiful willingness of the prophet Isaiah to be sent by God to fulfill the will of God for the glory of God!

Oh, let us have the same hearts!

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” Isaiah 6:8 NKJV
