When you fall. Not if you fall. You will fall. No matter how much you long to love and serve the Lord, no matter how much you desire to please Him, you will fall. Over and again. After all, you are learning to walk. So long as you are human, you will fall short of God’s glory. His grace not only abounds. His grace super abounds. His grace is sufficient. When you believe in Jesus as Lord, and commit to follow Him, His shed blood covers you.
When you fall, do not be discouraged. Do not stay on the ground. Do not bang your fists on the cement and stare at your bloodied knees. Stand up, seek and receive the Lord’s forgiveness, and walk. Do not focus on your fall. Do not look to your feet as you walk once again. Do not look backward to keep re-playing your fall. Do not look to the right, as the Bible says. Nor look to the left. Look to the Lord and His Word. Follow Him forward.
And WHEN, not if, you fall once more, stand to your feet. And start once more. Walk with the Lord.
