When You Have No Hope

While I tend to think it best to write shorter messages given people in this world are often busy and in quite a hurry, I do my best to write filled with and led by the Holy Spirit of God whereby I submit to Him and to His will concerning the messages He places on my heart and all aspects of them including the size. Though this is definitely a longer message than usual for me, I sincerely hope you may be led to read it in its entirety including the Bible verses contained within. And that when you walk away from reading it, you are filled with the LOVE and HOPE of God almighty!

I had very little hope – and sometimes no hope at all – for decades. Today, miraculously, despite about 20 years of contemplating suicide on and off and a few times deciding to do it, and despite ongoing personal struggles, I have hope every single day of my life! And I am writing this message strongly led by God to give you who have little or no hope encouragement on how to find – and keep – HOPE. Forever!

Probably sounds impossible. It IS impossible IF you search for hope in people, places, and things in this world. Because everything and everyone in this world is imperfect. So you and I may find hope in something or someone, but ultimately we will end up let down and disappointed because that hope will come and go. It may be strong at times but will at times disappear altogether and may go away and never return.

When our hope is anchored in something or someone on this earth, the only guarantee is that at some point people, places, and things will fall short or outright fail. And all hope will diminish or outright die.

Here is how to have hope 24-7 FOREVER.

Make the Lord Jesus Christ and a forever personal intimate relationship with Him your HOPE. Put your faith, trust, hope, and expectation in God who is holy, righteous, all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfect and whose love never fails (1 Cor. 13:8), whose mercy is forever (Psalms 107:1), and whose goodness is forevermore.

Look to Jesus who is perfect. Begin and continually develop and experience and enjoy an everlasting relationship with the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world, God almighty in Christ!

Perfect and glorious Father in heaven, friend, comforter, helper, counselor, advocate, guide, wisdom-and-direction giver, healer, provider, restorer, reviver, and hope – and so very much more!

We will face trials, tribulations, struggles and troubles, and the world is falling apart and will one day be gone. But Jesus has overcome the world, and we who are His faithful followers are promised a relationship with God now on earth and forever in heaven!

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33 NKJV

Whatever hard stuff we face on earth, God is with us to lead us through. We can hold onto Jesus as our help and hope and comfort and all else He is and receive all He provides.

And we can look forward to heaven where no pain, tears, death, tragedies, hurt, hatred, sickness, dying, betrayal, rejection, abandonment, abuse, prejudice, darkness, evil, divorce, etc. will ever be not for a moment!

No matter what you face in this life, when you believe in and follow and live for Jesus Christ as Lord, and you put your trust and hope in Him day by day, and in the truth of the Bible, you can enjoy the love, peace, joy, and intimate fellowship and all God’s blessings and the promise of a stunningly beautiful and hope-filled future in heaven – in and through Jesus!

You who have little or no hope, believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died on the cross to pay your sin punishment of hell and the lake of fire forever so you wouldn’t have to go there and was raised from the dead, and turn to God.

Truly commit your life to God and His ways and His will for your life.

Become and remain a totally devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Live to love, serve, praise, worship, obey, honor, and glorify the Lord forever.

You must be born again spiritually. Your sins must be forgiven. Jesus is the way. The only way to forgiveness and forever life with God.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 NKJV

Receive God’s forgiveness, the promise of a forever relationship with Him, and the Holy Spirit will come to live in you. This is being born again. You cannot start your life over physically. Spiritually, however, you are given a brand new start. You become a new creation. Now you belong to Jesus forever.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Follow Jesus day by day, filled with and led by the Holy Spirit according to the Bible. Read the Bible and live by it. Pray continually and stay on the narrow path God sets before you. Assemble with other Jesus followers. Live for Jesus now and forevermore. You will know a hope unimaginable!

You who have already committed your life to the Lord no matter how long ago, perhaps you, too, have little or no hope. I, too, lacked hope for a long time even as a believer in Jesus. Because I was not a totally devoted Jesus. I was lukewarm. Now I am sold out. On fire for God. All in. All His. Humbly and wholly His. Be the same!

Even as a believer in Jesus, it is possible to have little to no hope. How so? Why? Because we still may make the dangerous mistake of putting our trust, hope, and expectation in people, places, and things instead of in the Lord.

If this is where you are right now, let go of what and whom God tells you to let go. And even if He doesn’t tell you to let them go per se, do not put your hope in them. Put your hope in the Lord God almighty now and forever and ever, AMEN!

Oh, to all who are in need of hope, turn, turn, turn to the Lord! Be totally devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ! Put your hope and trust in God! And praise the Lord for the love, peace, HOPE, and joy you find in Him, hallelujah, glory, glory, glory be to God almighty, to the Lord be the glory, AMEN!

Please be BLESSED and ENCOURAGED reading the HOPE-filled Bible verses below!

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NKJV

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

1 Peter 1:3-5 NKJV

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;” 1 Peter 3:15 NKJV

“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:3-5 NKJV

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.” Psalms 62:5 NKJV

“ If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2 NKJV

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NKJV
