You Can Do This!
“I can do it through you! Oh Lord, yes I can!…I can do this in you, through you, and for you, oh yes I can! Thank you Lord, AMEN!” I said to the Lord concerning something huge and seemingly impossible with which He had entrusted me. Something good, mind you, and something really exciting. Nevertheless really big and daunting.
Unlike in the past when whether facing something enormous and beautiful or enormously challenging, I allowed myself to be daunted and intimidated and convinced I could never handle it, this time I had an astonishingly different response by the grace of God alone.
I refused to bow my knee to the devil and believe his lie I could never do what the Lord had given me to do, I refused to cave into my flesh and its usual zillions of emotions, and I refused to put my trust in myself as though I could muster up the strength to go forward.
I chose instead as the Lord teaches us in the Bible to put my faith, hope, trust, and confidence in the Lord believing He would give me all I needed love, grace, mercy, wisdom, help, support, comfort, and strength included to fulfill His will for me. But that was not all. I thanked Him because I believed with all my heart He would fully and faithfully, lovingly and mercifully, patiently and compassionately provide for me and carry me through it all!
The Lord has brought me such a very long way, and I wish I could tell you I will always have such strong faith now, but oh, what a very long way I still have to go as He perfects His ways in me. I’m just so humbled and thankful He finishes the work He begins in us, and I trust He will continue His work in and through me.
Friend, are you facing something seemingly insurmountable whether good or bad? Have you put your faith, hope, trust, and confidence in the Lord? Please do as I am learning to do. Look to the Lord, look to the Bible, pray to the Lord, cry out to the Lord, and make the decision no matter what you face to put your trust fully in Him! Not in yourself, not in this world, but IN THE LORD!
Father, thank you for how far you have brought me. Thank you for not giving up on me along the way. Thank you for being so patient as I learn to live by faith. Please Lord help us to truly learn to walk by faith. AMEN!
